What have you done with your tank lately?

Tom, sorry to hear about the loss, those are cool fish, but stuff happens. Do you have covers for the tank?

I have a screen top I built from BRS. He found my Auto feeders hole for when I'm out of town. I ordered another to keep a full cover when not out of town. I'm looking into another type of wrasse.

Did me a water change 12 of 90 gallons. Staying with my resolution. Also razor bladed the glass where my magnet does not hit. Added my first acan ever. Busy night last night

I have one of those inspection camera's that have a 4' flexible probe on the camera that you can use to see what is blocking pipes, behind walls and all that. It is a very clear color camera so I tried it out in my reef tank. I pushed it all the way into the cave where my pair of pistol shrimp live with a watchman gobi. The shrimp were not impressed and attacked the camera. It is very cool and I can connect it to a phone or camera to record the movie. Of course, I don't know how to do that, but I may figure it out. I also checked out behind my rocks which I have never seen. Very cool.

This sounds very cool. Are there any videos on RC of anyone else doing this?

Very cool Paul, I hope you figure out how to create the video.

Here's a wood carving I did (trial run - stained with this morning's coffee grounds) for a tank stand door.

I am thinking about building a Davey Jones themed stand. I think the grandsons will dig it.

As some of you know I had been battling a infestation of different algae forms for awhile. So I started doing vinegar dosing. I finally added a bio-pellet reactor. I has been running for a couple weeks. I know it is not a recirculating one but the plan is to modify it to be here shortly. It was a little bigger than I expected. In two weeks, along with the vinegar dosing my test results for nitrates went from 12ppm to zero. I checked on salifert and red sea just to verify. Now I know there is still nitrates in the tank but I was impressed with the difference it made.

Purchased 2 new fish over the last few weeks. Picked up a yellow canary blenny and a sleeper head goby.

I can't get the stupid blenny to eat...tried pellets, brine, Mysis and rods and the jerk won't eat. Had him about 2 weeks so hopefully things turn around. He seems happy in the tank as he swims around and through the rock work and nobody pays him any attention.

Sleeper head is turning my sand white again which is great! Luckily he hasn't caused the havoc I was expecting with sand storms. He did cover a rock with sand, but luckily that rock was coral free. He tried dumping sand on my monti cap once but I blew it off and nothing since then.

15 gallon water change and cleaning of the skimmer last night as well.

Just uncovered the tank after a 72 hour blackout, the week before I added BRS dual GFO reactor and Carbon Reactor and cleaned my filter socks. blew off the rocks daily for a week and kept the glass clean. covered the tank in trash bags and put towels on top during the day. Hoping to prevent the Dino from coming back

Finished up the screen tops for the DT. Did a small water change. Ran a few tests. Set up a QT in advance of some new fish.

Replaced 2 bulkheads, replumbed, added two rw-15's for more flow, cleaned the skimmer, replaced NPX Bio Pellets with NP All-In-One Biopellets.

What a great tank day!

I pulled my midas blenny out of QT and placed him in the DT this morning. By tonight he's swimming all over the place like one of the gang and eating well.

I picked up the skimmer that I ordered from Corner Reef last week (better price than online). It's already had its vinegar bath and is now in the sump breaking in.

UPS delivered my new breakout box, AFS, and used ULR Phosphorus meter. I already tried out the meter, but the others will probably wait a week or two.

When I was at the Corner Reef, I picked up a beautiful male Squamipinis and three females. I acclimated them to my QT this afternoon and they are eating LRS like a pack of ravenous wolves tonight.

Just hooked up a Skimz BR83 Biopellet reactor and got some sweet Toxic Ring of Fire Zoas. (Needed to add a little color before the super bowl party.)

Thank you Corner Reef.

Added file fish and two Yellow Coris Wrasses to my 120g tank. One Coris jumped to death already:( Tested water parameters on the 120 too. Aside from the additions I got from Dsmack (aiptasia, valonia, SPS eating angelfish), the 120 is looking decent.

Cleaned glass on the big tanks tonight, plenty of scratches and clownfish bites  Ordered a lot of drygoods to keep the system going for a while.
