What have you done with your tank lately?

Got ballast lol. I'm going to take apart the bluewave and repair it

Or capacitors. I'll figure it out hopefully someday

Do I smell smoke?

I'm trying out the new kessil ap700's. Might make the move to led/t5 instead of the 20k radiums. 16 years of halides thought it was time to at least try...

Not a whole lot going on with the tank at the moment, but here's what's up was building a 60 gallon but then had to move so got rid of the 60 and pulled out my 210 from storage. Now I'm going to reset it up, I have to do a little repair to the stand then after that hopefully get it going.

Put almost all of my frags in the main tank that I had been hoarding in my frag tank while I figured out what was causing my Zoas not to open in main system (it was my Potters Angel).
Started testing all parameters with Red Sea pro test kits and supplementing with Red Sea reef foundation and coral colors. Started feeding Zoas every few days with reef roids.
Just switched from Halides to two or-it2060 leds on main tank. Time will tell if this was a good decision or not. First impression of the leds is that they look very sleek in design and easy to control/setup. Literally just added them yesterday so can not comment on their effectiveness of coral growth yet.

We like pictures.

Whites at 50, blues at 10 plus glare from windows (light outside) and glass needs to be cleaned

Whites at 50, Blues 30 I think was what I had it set at (took these last night when dark out so no glare except from my dirty glass)

I fixed my vinegar dosing. The pump wasnt strong enough to pump up the dose from the floor so I raised it a 5 gallon bucket height off the floor and that seems to be doing the trick.

I also took my ats offline. It wasnt producing like I wanted it to. I believe it was because of low flow going thru it. If I put it back online I think I'll get a pump exclusively for the ATS but I'm going to wait a while and see what results I get from the redosing of vinegar and the ATS going offline before I make anymore changes.

Fed the mantis shrimp this afternoon and got shocked, found the problem to a powerhead, hopefully it wasn't doing that very long. Bane seems to be OK though

Picked this guy up from Gateway yesterday. They had had him a few months and hes a nice contrast to the other fish in the tank. Seems like its got a great personality as well.

My tanks doing pretty good over all. I got my PH to stop swinging so much by staggering the lights between the two systems. The only draw back is I don't get to enjoy my frag tank unless I stay up past midnight :). On the other hand its really easy to feed all the corals. My acans have really taken off, tripling heads in the last month. The trippy blue and orange chalice I picked up is really getting a crazy pattern kind of like a bulls eye around each mouth, very cool. Most of the sps is happy and growing.
Cheers,
Tom
