For whatever reason, what is you favorite tang and why?

Mine has to be a tie between the Orangeshoulder Tang Acanthurus Olivaceous, for it's striking orange strip as an adult and the colors overall, and the Lieutenant Tang Acanthurus Tennenti, for it's vibrant blue on the tail and the black "kiss" behind the eyes.

Blond naso is mine, for their color, streamer tail, and pretty peaceful attitude.
I had a regular naso for 7 years that had awseome personality.
Present tank is too small for those, so I went w/ my next fav, tennenti/lieutenant, love that guy!

My favorite tang would have to be a close tie between a powder blue tang and a gem tang.
Once I get a larger tank I wouldn't mind owning both of these.

Naso's for their spike and streams, but aside from that, they're not that attractive imo

Overall, I think achilles tangs sit near the top for me

i think im going to change mine to all of the above lol. the only down side to achilles are that they are hardish to keep otherwise id be in love. sohals are sweet too but the price tag is a lil high. wait why am i talking about price and criticizing a fishes life style, this is not a criticizem page LOL keep them coming!

I like either the achilles tang or the dussumieri tang...

Tell me this isnt a gorgeous fish :P

Mine would have to be the Black Tang. My LFS finally had a show size one and I had to get it. Fun watching him/her swim around the tank. But also like the Purple Tang

Yellow Tang

Yellow Tang

I fell in love with yellow tang when I was in Hawaii. I was walking along the a cliff and saw these beautiful yellow tang amongst the pounding water. They sure must like turbulence! The beach was called Hanamau Bay.:bounce3:

I loved my Luitenant but he was starting to get a tad mean, probably would have fared nicely in a 300+ semi-aggressive system. I love the Djardinni Sailfin but in the range of tangs that'll be happy in my tank, the Chocolate is the favorite.

^^Killer tang, stunning shot!
But holy cow, 21" max??!!

They do get big, 21" is not their max size, they've been seen around 3" long in Hawaii, one of the hotels has one in their big outdoors lagoon.

I've also heard from Hawaiians that they taste great :)
