What is your favorite tang?

tangs

tangs

Well I now have 3 or my 4 favs....
Powder Blue
Dejarden
Purple
but for the record my fav is the Sohal Tang.....

Acanthurus Polyzona is high on my list right now

Oh word? ;)

Really like our Chevron and Black Tangs.

Always had a soft spot for Achilles and Sohals :)

Will probably add a Gem, Achilles, Achilles Hybrid and Zebra down the line. I feel our current 4 tangs will be aggressive if I don't add more fish first.

My polyzoma is the worst. He fights anything with stripes. I just added an aussie tusk 4 times his size and he tries to torment it.

Not sure if "the" favorite, but surely one of my favorite species... Atlantic blue tang, Acanthurus coeruleus.

Beautiful in all color phases. :D

Best regards.

Daniel.

Fowleri hands down. Subtle beauty, relatively passive temperament, and not very common. If I could only keep one tang (in a tank 350g+), it'd be the fowleri (I'd get a purple to go with it if I could get 2 )

It's a 55 currently....with a 20 sump. Plenty of room to swim. But has about 60 lb of live rock. Currently I have a horseshoe crab, skunk cleaner shrimp, coral banded shrimp, yellow sea cucumber, yellow tang, coral beauty, two ocelleris clown fish, rayol gramma, red scooter blenny, spotted mandarin, two brittle stars, three anemones, couple different polyps, favia, two frog spawn, Sun coral, a bunch of hermits and snails.

Probably near your limit for bioload. Would wait to add more tangs if/when you get a larger tank :)

I honestly don't feel your tank is big enough for one of the two never mind both of them.
