You've got a measurement error in there somewhere. These values are much higher than even the northern Red Sea, which is about the saltiest part of the ocean and peaks at around 1.033. They're also way outside the range of any of the records for the Jacksonville area which runs about average- 1.027 for the ocean and as low as 1.002 near the mouth of the river.everytime i tested the seawater around here its at least 1.035 and peaks higher than 1.055

You would have to have a lot more going on than just a typical temp correction issue to get a reading of 1.055 from 1.027 water, especially if you're using a refractometer or swing arm hydrometer.
