I also see measurments in S.G., maybe if I squint they will change to salinity.
My salinity is at 34 ppt.
 
I voted 1.026 as that is what I wish to run at. Unfortunately, I found out yesterday my refractometer calibrated with RO/DI was a bit off. After using a calibration fluid, I found I was running at 1.023. Not the end of the world. I'll raise it very slowly over the next week or two...
 
everytime i tested the seawater around here its at least 1.035 and peaks higher than 1.055
You've got a measurement error in there somewhere. These values are much higher than even the northern Red Sea, which is about the saltiest part of the ocean and peaks at around 1.033. They're also way outside the range of any of the records for the Jacksonville area which runs about average- 1.027 for the ocean and as low as 1.002 near the mouth of the river.
 
You would have to have a lot more going on than just a typical temp correction issue to get a reading of 1.055 from 1.027 water, especially if you're using a refractometer or swing arm hydrometer.

you're right.

Could sediment (from runoff) possibly be skewing his results?
