I'm at 7.5 with the 400 watt radiums and less supplements 11 hours? I'm just curious I know when u get to 9 it's by really. Safe ?

It really depends on the power of your lights and your needs. I run mine 10hr a day with power compacts and soft corals.

I have a grip of sps in a 500 gallon the reason I'm asking is I feel like I'm runnjng to long but I like to look at the tank the supplement lighting u can't really get the full effect ...

It's not too long as long as your corals aren't lightening in color. With most more intesnse lights an 8 hour photoperiod is about right. MH you can usually go a little longer, with T5's longer photo periods tend to lighten corals much easier, LED's it depends greatly on the particular LEDs.

I run my 250watt radiums 7hrs and two t5 supplements for 10hrs. The mh don't come on until 2:00pm, so I can enjoy them in the evening when I get home

I put mine down to 6.5 a couple corals ae white on certain areas ... From the lighting I think ?..I also tried 250 radiums it just didn't look bright enough ... My tank is . 4 ' wide so it makes it harder

4x Radium 400 watters over a 465 gallon tank, on for 7.5 hours a day, just like you. I have 4x R2 Extreme LEDs that come on for 4 hours after that, but they are just moonlights.

10 hours on my 250 HQI. This is when I am around and like to look at the tank. I doubt that the coral need that much.
