Depending on what's in your tank, I think the spectrum of light is more important than the intensity of light.

If I run the Radions at 100% for any length of time they burn my corals. The lights are 8" off the water, in a 24" deep tank.

what percentage do you run yours?

Here's a graph, I gradually ramp it up, then 100% to simulate noonday sun, then a gradual decline into twilight. (Speaking of twilight, I heard that is Dsmack's favorite movie)

For a while I was playing around with trying to synch it with the moon phases as well.

I had LEDs over my 65 and it ran at 85 all last summer and 78 last winter. No I'll effects. I have 4 400w halides over my 225 and with a fan on it only runs at 81-82. Sooo much more growth then with my LEDs, granted try were older LEDs so can't really compare them to radions.

I guess the only good thing is I would only need one Radion. If I were looking at more than one for a 4'+ tank. There is a lot of cost up front like Tradewins was speaking too.

mine are running at 75 percent right now and probally keep them there cause everything in tank looks very happy.

I sticking with my pharos LED. I am Getting great growth again. After a reprogram thanks to these guys things are looking up in my tank again.:bounce3:
