What's With These Weird Tentacles and Other RBTA Questions

They Got My Number
My RBTA has been in my tank for 3 days now and seems like it has finally settled into it's new home.

Tank Parameters are:
0amm
0nitrate
0nitrate
8.2pH
1.026 salinity
77-80degrees

Just had a couple questions. First off, what is the deal with these small tentacles at the bottom? Do these mean something is wrong? Does the RBTA still look healthy?

Second, I fed it a krill the first night it was in the tank and it took it and digested it. Yesterday I fed it another krill and it took it in and then last night it spit it out in the middle of the night. Is this normal? Was it just not Hungry?

Finally, a FTS of where it is in my tank. Good placement? It hasn't moved since I put it there and seems very happy with it's spot. The tank has been up for just over 6 months and is very stable.

I know, I know, the koralia needs to be wrapped.

Good placement, looks healthy. The tentacles will come go, I wouldn't worry about them unless they stay that way over a week.

I only feed a max of every other day with anemones. And if the food is to big they will spit out what they can't eat within 24 hours. So yours is probably just getting full, no worries there either.

The small tenticles just look like it might have been cut in half or split on it's own probably a month or 2 ago. It's no big deal and they will grow out. Looks good! :)

I agree it looks like its been cut recently. How long has the mouth been open like that? That concerns me a little.

It must have split. i know the guy I got him from very well and he doesn't cut them. The mouth was closed right before and right after I took the picture. I don't know why it was open like that!

Yeah, they look that way a short while (a month or two) after they asexually divide (clone). The mouth is closer to those small tentacles too, as that's where the mouth formed and starts to migrate to center.

I have a healthy RBTA that occasionally does that with it's tentacles. Why? I have no idea but it was not recently cut. Your RBTA may also be reacting to something in the water it doesn't like.
