When do I need to split up my clowns

I have got my clown fish to live now for almost 2 months. When do I need to split them up from each other? I know u should only keep 2 clowns together in a reef so at what point do I need to divide these guys up in pairs?

If your just growing them out to selling size there is no need to seperate them, just give them enough room. I found 200 will be fine in a 20l tank. This is mainly for ocys or percs though.

What types of clowns do you have? And what size tank are they in now?
