A few days ago i notice a few tiny flea looking things in the corners of my tank. After being out of town for the weekend and coming home, i found quite a few more. They have exploded in number. What the hell are these things and how can i get rid of them?? Ive gone through a diatom bloom and some green hair algea but my newly added Cleaner Crew are on top of those. My tank is about 1.5 to 2.5 weeks old. HELP!

Oh yeah these little critters started out down by the sand and now they are kinda of lingering around the surface area. They are all white also. Thanks

They are probably just pods. They are beneficial and when you add fish they will disappear.

Should i add some chromies in this far along or wait it out? I mean there are a lot of these. Im just afraid of having bugs all over my house haha.

Not to worry Cabbage,

During that algae bloom a host of "pods" found a perfect sex pad and now are all suing for child support. ;) They are good things for the tank and when you add livestock to the tank will become dinner for many fish.

If you plan a refugium this is a good time to stock it with the critters as it will pay off in the long run.

They're fine. It's a good sign your tank is progressing. Like everyone else said. They'll go away with fish. I had a gazillion, now I don't notice them as much at night.

oh and PS.... they won't crawl out of the tank so you're fine. :)
