who has a neon blue goby?

I've kept them before. Lots of personality and everytime my hand went into the tank for scraping and so forth, it would clean my arm and hand. They do about equal amounts of time swimming and perching. Great little fish!

I've had them but they disappeared after a month or so. I think they got eaten or went in the overflow.

Cool little fish for sure. May be best suited for nano size tanks.

I have a 20long, do you think that it would be big enough for a pair of these and a pair of false percs?

I would not worry about the clowns, they are colored like a common cleaner wrasse and most fish know they are benificial. I've seen newly collected pacific groupers let themselves be cleaned even though the neons are atlantic and they have never seen each other.

One thing to remember, from years of observing them in the ocean and keeping them, they don't really like each other, so make sure when you purchase them they are a true pr, in most LFS I've seen them kept in large numbers in a tank, what happens when you reduce the numbers so they can set up a territory is the bigger ones kill the small ones until you have a single, bonded pr. If the store has a lot of them together, watch which ones stay right next to each other and those ones are pairs.

ok thanks guys, question, I cannot find an LFS that I trust for fish and has good service, the ones around here are either overly rude or all the fish have ick. Would this be something that there is a trusted place online that I could find?

ORA raises them, so I would look for ORA clenaer gobies over anything else. We have had pairs in a 20g tall and they did just fine with clowns. Very fun to watch and a nice splash of blue.
