Why Don't They Force You To Pick A Location

Why don't they force you to put your location under your username when you sign up?

It is annoying when someone has something to sell and does not have a location listed. It takes some time to figure out that they are 100 miles away.

I can imagine you would see a lot more folks with "my house", "in a van down by the river", and "mi casa" from people who didn't want to enter a location than you would folks entering a general area.
Software can only go so far in solving problems.

I never put one in because when I first came to this site I was living in the middle of the Pacific ocean on my way to g foreign lands.where I toppled a government. After that I moved around a lot. Guess I could put one in now as I have settled now b how does my reef sound? Really guess i just never thought about it but I agree with the point here it is much easier to deal if you know were you are going from the get go.

Umm, honestly this is a rare occurrence. Just put WNY or if you live in Amherst write Orchard Park if you want to throw off your would be attackers.

You are not putting down your exact address. It is more of a Zone.

Eh then you are annoying waiting for a response. This could also be solved by when you are selling or asking for help if you say the location.

Like everyone said. Some people don't want to disclose their location for whatever reason. That's their choice. You shouldn't have to be forced to put your information out there for anyone to see. You never know who is out there nowadays

I was taught a long time ago, If someone wants to find you, they will find you. Especially if you use the internet. Only an idiot will put their location as an username.
