Wondering what it's worth?

I just bought a used tank from a guy and he threw in his light for free. I'm just curious and not trying to sell it. I'm just wondering what you guys would estimate it's value at...?

It's a Coralife Aqualight Pro w/ 2 150W MH's and 2 96W PC's (also has 4 blue LED moonlights). It's ~ 5 years old but in great shape.

I only spent $200 total for a 75G RR w/ stand & plumbing, 10G wet/dry, Rio 2500 return pump, 4 powerheads (junk), skimmer (Coralife), heater, mag-float and, of course, the MH's. I'm trying to justity to the "Mrs." that I got a good deal :)

I've never owned MH's before so I don't have any frame of reference...

New, that light probably goes for like $800 at least.

Did he say how recently the bulbs have been replaced?

Coralife is one of the cheaper brands actually and if you search on here from 2006threads and such, the sold new for $649.I'd say it's worth $200 nowadays. So you made a good buy.

You got a good deal!
My current usa light fixture cost me ~1200
3x250w mh, 8x39w t5, moon lights, etc
Then I upgraded the ballast to m80 ballasts that cost even more $$$
Looks like the 48" Coralife fixtures are selling for about $800, isn't a 75 48" long?
the 36" goes for about 550 or so but those are for t5's not pc's, I couldnt find ones with pc's online?
Maybe don't make them anymore?

All he said was he paid $600 for it 5 years ago. Also, he NEVER replaced the bulbs since he put it over a FO tank. (overkill, lol!)

Yea, I'm pretty sure they don't make them with PC's anymore. It's a 48".

Thanks for the "ammo" guys, I'll share this with wifey. Since all of my corals only "cost" $10 (LOL), I really couldn't hide the $200 I spent on this tank, even though I think I got a great deal!!
