I had to go back and look at the first video. I couldn't figure out the drain tube going into the pvc but then I heard you say it cuts off the air and notice the actual drain plug next to it. Are you able to clean all the way down into the white part or is it sealed off? That's the one thing I don't like about my SRO 3000. I am not able to just wipe down the inside of the base because of the diffuser in there. They should have made it removable. .

I do not know.. I should have taken it apart and looked.

Yes the hose is so when it overflows it stops the air input, hence, stopping skim from being created.

Came back from a weekend outing and the skimmer has about 1/4 inch of skim built up in it. It is pulling skim nicely so far.

This week I am going to tune it a bit and bring the bubbles up a bit, while it will make it a wetter skim, I will only bring it up a bit.

Yeah 5 days fishing in the outer banks of NC is a bit different than Colorado.

Btw. After I came back from tahiti and we feeding more acro food daily during day and few times at night per week. Reefroids reef chilli, our own pappete, oyster feast, combo shake..... we have not lost one acro to stn or bleaching. not one. I can report increased polyp extention big time. Slightly more nitrate and phosphates? Maybe. But we also changing so much more water. Just got one of those industrial ro machines. Makes 2 gallons per minute.!! 400 gallon vats in 3 hours. I'd say we doubled our water changes to almost 500gallon per day or 300 per week from 150 gallons. Great stuff. Feed and change!!

Well. .... wait till I go up to 20k plus. Omg.!! This machine is awsome. I'm getting 2 of them for new house. Its insane. Going to be able to make over 5k gallons per day or ro.
