Worm's 180 build

If you have a 5-sided internal and 5-sided external box, you put the gasket seals on either side of the glass only. So box-gasket-tank wall-gasket-box. You only care about water leaking out of the setup at the joint of the tank and outside box, and you want to seal the joint between the inside box and tank wall so that water doesn't slowly bypass the overflow box during an outage (draining your tank down). The latter is probably less likely to occur, but it's a worst-case planning thing.

Bad cellphone video. You know what this is in my sump though.

Looking at getting maybe a harlequin shrimp.

Get rid of some asternia stars. Ideas from others?

Great thread

Great thread

Nice thread, have you got a you tube channel aswell ? Agree on the harlequin. Tried bumble bees aswell but mine always ended up in the sump , or worse the return pump. You could try a bongo shrimp. They look nice but never tried one.

They are nice.. but I have had a decline in my zoas. I think they might be taking some of them out.

So I ordered some ReBorn Calcium Reactor Media but instead was sent rowapos instead. So as to not let it go to waste I swapped out my BRS GFO with it.

I will tell you in a few days how it is doing.

If you look at the web camera it is at the sump on the left, at the top.

I have had it running since Oct 2013. It has been regularly producing algae. I was cleaning it out every 2 weeks. But I have slacked a few times. I am probably going to clean it out this week.
