What type of worm is this and what is it on? I saw a worm that looked like this under one of my rocks the other day.

common name is bristleworm - a very general term that gets applied to several different varieties of polycheate sp. most all are beneficial detrivores.

found this under a rock while cleaning one day.... kinda blurry... it stretched out to about 18"....

Do you know what that one is? I saw one in a tank of mine a couple of years back. Yours is the only other I've seen.

Is this a Spaghetti Worm? I was gonna order some up.

Would you like that with marinara or oil and garlic?
:eek2:

Anybody remember Steve Weasts 3 footer?? That was the biggest worm I had ever seen. Must have been at least 5 years ago or so. Will see if I can dig up the pic.

It's a hair worm. Cirratulidae sp. These don't live in a tube the spaghetti worms do.
