gfsrepairs - my bad, didn't notice who posted and just responded to the previous post and pic. Your pic is in fact a spaghetti worm. Good Guy.

Do you know what that one is? I saw one in a tank of mine a couple of years back. Yours is the only other I've seen.

i posted a thread seeking it's identity awhile back and someone said it was a ribbon worm... the link to an ID article they posted doesn't work anymore....
it really was a pretty worm... as worms go... :) lisa

Thanks! I did a search and that's what it is, a Nemertean or proboscis worm. Also called a bootlace worm or ribbon worm. Over 900 types and all are named for their long proboscis. From what I read they are voracious carnivores though. So much for being a welcome inhabitant:)

yes. horrible treatment of a really good read. I still haven't forgiven Sting for being involved in it :D However, you're right - the peanut worm does resemble a sand worm. maybe he could get another pic with feemen 'pods riding it

cateyes,
Cool ribbonworm!
Where can I get one?
Do you ever see it out crawling around?

Mine is probably Basiodiscus mexicanus.
Besides when I moved it's tank, I've only seen it out 3 times in over two years. One time it was completely stretched out around all four sides of a 24 inch tank with part of it's tail still hidden. It is between 4 and 5 feet long.
