xenia wilted within hours

I got tired of my closed loop blowing bubbles so i broke down and got two seio powerheads. I put two 1100's in my 90 and shut off my mag 1800 closed loop. So I have drastically increased the flow but when i came back two hours later my xenia is looking bad! Anyone had similar experiences?

Possibly there was some sort of contaminant on the new powerheads? Also Xenia seems to prefer low flow, are they getting pounded by the flow from the new PH's?

they move around pretty good, im sure it the flow just wondering if there was anyone that had it come back. Wont be the end of the world if it doesnt, i do get tired of trimming it.

Mine wilted also for two days now after I took it out to re-arrange my rocks. It was in a bucket with other corals but did not touch them...any ideas?

Mine wilted up and stayed that way for awhile...I never figured out why...I gave the rock they were on to a friend...and they bloomed back up in his tank, which I thought was funny cause I was growing acros just fine

Not me. I also haven't tested for phosphates, but using RO/DI with IO salt. Could phosphates levels still go up even though?

When you feed your fish you're putting phosphates in the tank. My question was aimed at the metals which some phosphate binders release into the water, and also that xenia seems to prefer water with a little excess nutrient.
