XL Gigantea

Id get treatment going.. i had a green haddoni that looks nice and never deflates.. pooped out some rat poop once in awhile.. 2 months later it died.. this is with other healthy haddoni in tank..

Well she out the dt and into the qt, i will dose it tonight.
Do you guys think 2x24w T5 will be sufficient? Water level is only 25 cm so it quite shallow.

Came home few mins ago to do the first dosage.
First time super deflated pizza mode with mouth super open.
Maybe i should have let her be in the dt.....

Was pizza mode and with mouth inverted all night and when i was about to take a pic the decided that pizza mode was not good pose for the pic so she stood up and retracted her mouth.

Im about to do the first water change.
Oh and merry Christmas :)

Merry Christmas to you too!

I would set it on a suspended egg crate so it's foot heals better. Doesn't look too bad though. I think you got lucky on that one.

Unfortunately i am all out of Egg crates and everything is closed.
Qt is running on the warmer side as well 84F

I will get some Egg crate tomorrow.
did 50% water change just now and she is further closing the mouth.
Next treatment of cipro tonight.

Well my hopes of recovery wont down to 1% i have spotted a tiny tear in her foot.
FFS if only i seen it sooner i would have been able to tell the lfs owner

You need to share pictures with us, we might see things that you don't. Just keep treating it and like I said get the nem on top of an egg crate, I noticed that the foot didn't look so great earlier, but you can't just wait things out when you see them. Another member in the LPS section waited 5 days to come back and read what we said to do, he then dipped the coral with something that the LFS told him to do and it was totally wrong thing to do. The coral never should have been dipped in what it was. We're here to make sure that you're successful.

Oh i appreciate the help.
Im just not willing to remove the egg crate thats holding it away from the heater and power head and wake up to a Haddoni soup in the morning.
I will get the egg crate tomorrow when i can get to the shop.

Im not new into this hobby by far as i work and manage the aquatic section in a pet shop (marin section) ive been keeping fish since i was 5 am now 30 and i have been in the Salt section for over 10 years.guess you could say its more of an life style than a hobby..

but the experience of many is combined here so its very nice to be able to get many people opinion and advice's.

What i have read about tearing in these delicate carpets is nothing good..

A tear in the foot is not a death sentence! It will require much longer treatment. Here is my gig that came shipped with a torn foot:

The outer layers of anemone is so thin they. An tear easy. The foot is much tougher so they don't tear as easy. When anemone injured the wound just contracted and heal shortly if the anemone is healthy. You see this when carpets loose tentacles. All you see is a shorter tentacle and the tip color is different. As they heal the feta les elongate and the composition of the skin there com back to normal tin a few days, color of that tentacle normalized.
Stressed and unhealthy anemones are unable to heal anywhere near as quick or at all. The result is the wound get bigger and mesothelial filaments spill out as in the picture above.
These wounds are not likely there before but there now. You did not see it yesterday because it was likely not there, not because you and the LFS missed it.
Your anemone is not at all the same health now as he was when he was at the distributer. He is a lot worst.
Continue treatment and hope for the best. Change 100% of the water daily instead of 50 or 75 percent. As long as your water is good and matched salinity and close temp 100% water change then add new med is much better by far
