yellow acro

IMG_0308.jpg

It looks like corn, but has still kept the bright yellow even as it has grown. Must be under high lighting to maintain yellow, if lowered turns more of a green color.

Regarding the A. Carolinia mentioned above, do any of you have one of these colonies that has held is color in captivity long term? I have seen them on the Vivid site a number of times, but have wondered if they are a maricultured SPS trap...

I've had mine for almost a year now. It has held the yellow and grown fairly well in that time. The picture does this coral no justice....it just glows.

According to reefcorals website, their two colonies started as 1" frags and grew them out. Mine is very yellow, so I'd say they hold their color.

Bottom one is A. caroliniana. I grew it from a frag given to me by rigleautomotive. The top one I'm not sure, I think it's A. gemmifera. I've been calling it the bananaberry lol. It came as a wild colony at my lfs and they made two frags of which mine is one. The mother colony died unfortunately so I'm babying this one along!

I have had a yellow milli with light blue growth tips for quite a while. It is one of my favorites.

Dude, that just rocks!:eek1: Yellow acros are sweet especially the millie variety. Had one once but sadly lost it, and still looking for another.

Here's my yellow tenuis:

Had this guy for years. Came in as a wild colony from the old ReeferMadness.
