+1000 Digging them up can only make it worse.DO NOT stir the sand. You can injure them and/or cause further stress. Usually with these wrasses it takes a few days for them to feel comfortable and secure enough to come out. Plus they need to get used to the lighting schedule.
Up to 3 weeks or a little longer is not unheard of.The one goes in to sleep ever night and comes out in the am but the other one still

I have a pair of ocellaris clowns, lawnmower blenni, manderian and a goby
Figured I woild just leave it be but might try the garlic trick thanks
So I found him today dead on the bottom :-( just guessing
He got streesed out I did the drip method for 2hrs the other
One is fine and very active sad day but its part of the hobby
Maybe ill get another one after wrk today! Thinking the goby
Might have had something to do with it he's a little tough
On new tankmates sometimes!!!
