Whoa, hey guys. Long time no see! Geeze, life sure has taken off for me. I shudder to think what it will be like once I add kids to the equation! I'm sure Recty, and a lot of you other guys can tell me what it'll do my life. I think I already know though.

Anyway, work has been kicking my tail. It's all good, in the grand scheme of things, but it's eating up a lot leisure and fun time. Not getting out as much as I used, but least you think I've left the hobby! Not photography, or reef keeping. Of course I did start back up with another hobby of mine...cars :). Got a new toy boys!

A few from recent months. More as usual on my blog pages...just updated it. Here are a chunk of the good ones anyway. More here: http://www.iptalaska.com/Pages/blog_pages/2012/Page-18.html

Denali was bit of bust this year. Rain, wind, and a shortened trip.

Had the good fortune of finding this little guy on one my moose outings. I think Might have seen one moose, a gazillion miles away. This dude more than made up for it though!

crazy wind and weather this year. Think they set a record at like 133 MPH! Trees down all over, power out, what a mess. Stripped the leaves out of the trees too. Lack luster fall overall.

Oh, but the Aurora ..... now, things are starting to wake up on the sun. yeah baby! Too lazy to do noise reduction, you'll have to suffer :).

Yes, you were missed. Beautiful as always. Our fall is going to be a long one this year. Lots of color already but still a lot of green.

What's that little guy?? Very cute!! And love the new toy!!!!

Thanks everyone. The little critter is actually an "Ermine". They are from the wessel family, obviously. They will be all white pretty soon. Apparently they are pretty vicious hunters. I have seen many images of them but this is only the second one I have seen in 10 years up here. Well,i saw a few others but they were mere glimpses as they ran accross a trail or the road.

Jesse - yeah, my sister just went up to Vermont. Said she missed peak and a lot of the leaves were down already. So in PA things are turning at a slow pace and not coordinated huh? Well all it takes is a stunning tree or two at the right place and you can get some killer images!

There's a bit of color, but there's still a lot of green also. Most of the sycamores lost their leaves already. It's really different.

Very nice pictures, I liked the couple moose shots.

I love the cute little ermine. I've actually had to trap quite a few of those when I lived in Homer, they liked to dig around my house, almost like a dog trying to get outside a fence except these guys wanted in.

LOL - this first one I saw was in Homer. I was down there taking Eagle pics and it caught my eye. Beautiful in their white coats! They are a lot of fun to photograph. Pretty curious, at the least the two I saw. Any other ones I saw were just a blur running across the road or trail.
