Zebra Tang - Acanthurus polyzona

Hey guys

I'm interested in a group of zebra tang. I think about 3 till 5. Because they are very expensive I want to ask if somebody have experience to do that? It is possible or I should stop with two.

Umm... Where are you able to get 3-5? I'm interested in 1 maybe.
If they are anything like convict, then a group is fine depending on size tank obviously.

Tank is 1.350 gallon or 5.500 Liter. It is not easy to get them. I order directly by wholesale. They are not at store and I have to wait

Sounds like we need to go in on a group buy! I would like one too. They are out of season until May. Not sure anyone has attempted a group of them? It's hard to find more than one

Yes it is hard to collect them. The collector told my wholesaler that they get out to catch them and it is not sure to catch one.

Just a thought, but if they are only catching one at a time, would that be an indication that they are more of a solitary fish?

No, it is possible to catch no one. Not just one. Sorry for bad English. I hope you understand what I mean. My wholesaler get an import in the middle of January. I hope I can get some 2 till 5 [emoji1]

The fun is that my wholesaler has a price of 175 EUR online. I read that in USA they sold for more than 1000 EUR. I ordered 5. One day later I become a callback from my wholesaler. They are confused because the collector has the price quadrupled [emoji30] [emoji1]

Yeah on DD they sell for 1300$, 175$ euros is way off the mark as far as pricing goes

Yes 175 was the whosaler price. That means 350 EUR for wholesale. First that was the time of the strong EUR. Second Jack Adams reefb reported about zebra tang and the price rises overnight
