What are the advantages of using Zeovit versus regular reffkepping, besides brighter colors?

I use it mostly for the effects on the macro algae in the tank...I have yet to have to deal with any nuisance macro algae in my tanks that are running on Zeo. In the past The colors of the corals is really secondary and not my reason for using it.

Brighter colors are an option, but I am using it for nutrient control while trying to keep full deep colors

I use it to create as close to natural conditions as possible. Zeovit highly recommends that you strive for NSW values. I feel this kind of forces testing, basic husbandry, and observance of your tank and inhabitants. The idea is to run nutrient poor condtions while having the ability to replace or to renourish what is taken out through zeolites and skimming. The ability to feed heavily and have larger fish populations is why I choose the method. You can interpret the system and customize to your liking, as Mark mentions, he prefers the richer colors, where some prefer more of a pastel appearance. Either way, I overall am happy with the system. The only issues I have had have to do with my own ignorance to the system and investment of research before taking the plunge. I used live sand, and had many cyano issues. I also used old rock with a large amount of bubble algae to begin. I think if you start off your tank according to their recommendations, you have a larger chance for success.

Perry has pretty much said it. I've been using it (now for 4 weeks), and so far, it's been nothing but positive results!

For me its lower nutrients, better colors, and less algae, while still being able to feed my fish rather heavily.

It works well at cleaning the water and is fun to be able to tweak the colors how you like them. I've been running it since 03. For me the supplements seem to last forever. I still have my bottle of start2 I started with years ago.

I ran Zeo on my old tank for a few months and saw such a great improvment on the coral vitality, that i decided it was time to upgrade. Started Zeo from the begining on the new tank, and the growth and colors are outstanding! Its nice to not run phosphate absorbers. Its also cool to tweek colors as others have mentioned.

It isn't the only way to do it but in the end were all trying to get the same results no?.

What supplements are you using? What are your favorites? I'm using AAs, Coral Vitality, Potassium Iodide and Pohl's Xtra but not the actual ZeoVit system. I'm actually using Prodibio BioDigest and BioOptim but I really love the Zeo supplements. I've never seen such great PE.

Bogg,
Beautiful and amazing colors. I was using zeo, but I realize that my all SPS getting more darker.

Is some one had same experience? I was using AA, CV, 100% dose what they recommended, PholXtra, sup2 and start2 50% to 70 % what they recommended, with weekly addition of Prodibio reef booster, Biodigest, stronti+ and IODI+.

When I feel coral get more darker i stopped Zeo and keep continue Prodibio stuff. any suggestion.

I dunno it's hard to say possibly the mixing of the different products from prodibio/KZ and maybe a overdose of certain elements could have caused this?.
