Zoa ZITS (white spots that pop)

Some of my smaller colonies have been getting zits...whiteheads...
What I did was remove the colony, use a syringe and pop all the white dots. when this happens a white pus like liquid oozes out, sometimes a white dot falls out. i then wash the zoa in an iodine dip.

my question is what is it? fungus? zoa acne?
what causes it and how to prevent/cure it?

I would check zoaid and research the Furan 2 dip on zoa pox. You did fine but I still would dip in Furan II and QT-best of luck! This will spread to other colonies. Keep up with the water changes as well

I might start a new thread as to why this happens every year when summer hits?? I never have this happen in the fall/winter??? My temp never fluctuates more than 2 degrees though?? Good luck!
