Just hypothesis on why he crashed in my bucket. Opened bag and poured in. Maybe. Maybe not on bump thesis. That fish was in light at nya. I dismiss light thesis. Had one hr ride. Thats it. Im tryingvto wotk store credit with nya on discounts on other fish.
 
Wayne. What changed your mind. You have fancy fish. Karen tellnyou that its a good one. Lol? I set up this great separate tanknfor 2 peps. Itvwas always dream. Narcosis was second thought. Though its pretty obvious that fish and i are in battle. Whatvare your plans? Breed ?

lol...no, I've always wanted one to put in my reef tank. I was a little late to jump on board of the peppermint ship. I had planned on buying one directly from Rufus, paying him directly the retail price. I've always thought that since he took all the risk(particularly his life) in collecting these special fish, he was due at least that. It didn't seem right to me that a lfs get as much if not more than the wholesale collector price for this particular fish.

In any event, I was slated to receive one however the one Rufus set aside for me unfortunately died during acclimation and all the others were already spoken for. Anyway, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask you.

But yes, I have been in touch with Karen and she said the larger of the two she had was doing well and eating for her. She did tell me though sadly, the little one died a couple of days ago and she never saw it eat.

No worries though if you still want it. Rumor has it that Rufus is planning another trip early next year. I'll have to be patient and hopeful.

did you clean out the bucket before adding the narc?
I had a buddy who would lose fish during acclimating them and often they would die immed upon being poured into his 5 gal bucket...
I watched him do this once...
turns out he was cleaning out his bucket with hot water and then adding the fish to it...
the bucket was still heated due to the hot water cleaning and would heat up the fish and water that was added...
doubt you did this but...just my .02...

I'm so sorry. I recently was transfering some fish from QT to DT and one fish jumped out of the container on the kitchen counter and landed on the kitchen floor. I was expecting death, or at least an injured eye or something, but luckily, no issues... I think the angle of impact helped... but I'm still surprised.
