Beautiful fish Ted. The yellow will turn into red at the fins when fish is adult? I saw a picture here on RC. Or it was Photoshoped?

Hey bud,
Thanks...The yellow seems a bit more orange in person, and a deep orange should be the end result, I hope. The crown of his head is the last part to transform. It was pretty interesting to watch and seemed a bit different from some of the angels I have watched...the red you saw was perhaps some involvement from the lighting??

I hope all is well with you,

TK

WOW! Ted, everything you were hoping for, congrats...

Lol, I am still amazed it worked out...this is the only one so far...I hope to hear about some more males soon. I think Andrew and Yalcin have one in their trio that is just beginning to show some early signs of change.

Hope all is well with you,

TK

So amazing. I hope to be an owner too some day. He has colored so fast as of late

I hope so too for you! The real change began almost exactly 4 months ago today. That was the day I did a double-take as I was looking at the tank. The change overnight was dramatic.

Hope all is well with you,

TK

That last group shot pic is so beautiful. I've always dreamed of having a tank with a clarion, bandit, and a conspic. Every angel in that pic is among my favorites and yours look so healthy and colorful. Great stuff! I'd love to see an updated video of your display tank some day.

And congratulations on that male GP! Just amazing. I'm more of a coral guy, but this is easily one of my favorite threads on the internet.

Thanks!..... but, the clarion are coming out Tuesday with a bunch of others....gp and blondie and the gem hybrid going in....I am waiting on a small clarion hybrid to take the place of the 3 clarion....

we talk off-line about books we read and how important they are to us...

these are solid, though the one on the right is still solid overall, it is around 30 years old
Bassler's is excellent...

what else did you expect?

Oh wow, the GPs are going in? That's exciting news! Do you have to remove the rock to catch them or are you going to use fish traps?

yup...most of the rock is coming out so I can get the fish out...getting some help from some friends...some of the fish were already pulled out, but a bunch are going in a few days...going to be a long day.....

Best of luck with the transfer, Looking forward to seeing some pics and video! Also, hope your clarions are going to a good home.
