I figured the Triggers had a new home lined up after the pool conversion?:) Like others, I cannot wait to see your Angel collection in your DT...
 
How do your Venustus behave? Are they bonded? Did you get them at the same time? I have had my Venustus for about a year now, and would definitely consider adding a second one.

Hey Dave,

One is a great fish and is always out and about, not shy in any way.
The other is a total recluse and is rarely ever seen.
There is no aggression between them but I may remove the ultra-shy one and try with another...

I got them around 5 days apart...
 
yes, lol, at least the one I can see is eating well...
she will eat most anything...pe mysis, spirulina brine, really likes live brine and pods, picks at fresh clam and lrf..does not seem to like nori...
the one I rarely see seems to eat the mysis and brine that make it inside her home...not sure is she eats the other foods...
 
DD has a nice juvenile gold flake

Whats your protocol, any nice angel 4 hours after it has been released on DD, if its still their then it is meant to be and you buy it.

I think he is saying that the angel has been available for purchase for more than 4 hours on DD so you are now going to buy it because it is "meant to be" :rollface:

It was just a joke because you love buying small angels, and making pairs or harems with them and I know you have one baby Goldflake so I thought you would buy this one for your current fish to have a friend

cool, thought you were trying to get me to "adopt" all dd angels...yikes!
only got the gf and regal due to their extremely small size...the current d gf is huge
I don't have any plans on adding anything new for a few months...currently, all about the reconfiguring and moving existing livestock and installing an ato system...
 
I am also installing an ATO system, the parts are coming in next week for me. I am sure yours will be quite different and a whole lot bigger

my current is purely ato...
but I am going to an ato/awc so I can do auto 150-200 gallon wc but the configuration is making it tough...
 
A 200 gallon water change is damn big. Back must hurt after

If you are going to install an AWC, why dont you set it up to make a 10 Gallon water change daily instead of one large one every week or two
 
That will be a built-in option...
though in my system I have found there is more benefit to a large change every 2-3 weeks +/- than 10gpd change...
 
This is an awesome thread. Just read through it all, seems very exciting. Btw you were selling a lunula trigg? How much did you get that for? They're all really rare from what I hear; like a small specimen over here is 700 ish.

I figured you might have an interest in the cross hatch / blue throat hybrid on NY aquatic. Not sure how that would affect the "mood" with your current pair.

Is the super ultra rare fish that may or may not be coming still a possibility? I heard from a buddy of mine that Clipperton's may be arriving shortly. Could just be hearsay though.
 
those bt/ch hybrids just don't do it for me...
I don't think any of the "planned" rare fish will be here until the fall... esp. with one key player recently receiving a year in prison...

I saw that hybrid too and it didn't really look that cool for the $$$. They had a nice mated pair of crosshatch triggers wasn't it ? Spendy though
