Her named is Coda...
She is a 2 year old Shiba Inu!
Sometimes called a miniature Akita...they look like foxes, act like cats, from Japan and were used for hunting, almosy killed off during WWII...
Coda is 25 pounds but thinks she is 250...
a great breed...Coda is my 2nd Shiba... Casey was with me for 16 years, had to put her to sleep in Aug 2010...got Coda May 2011...

That is very funny, when I placed my guess of a Samoyed, I was debating between a Tibetan mastiff, an Akita and the Samoyed.
Beautiful dog Coda is, sorry to hear about Casey

My dog is my true pet, then the fish are very distant second

Thanks!
Coda is most def my buddy and goes everywhere with me...
Now if I could only get her to do the heavy lifting when it comes to a water change I would be golden...

Nice dog! You just need some electronic switches your dog can press to feed the tank. Just make sure the dog doesn't get teats after pressing the button because it will be hard to keep nitrates down if you train her that way :)

Wow if your fish weren't cool enough.. That's an awesome dog! My parents are in search for a new dog, might have to suggest this breed!

Quick question about your flameback pair.. What is their spawning behavior like? The last time I was home and was able to observe my Argi pair and the seem to have an odd behavior every night nearing the time the lights go out. They also don't put up with my clowns anymore (which I'm happy about.. )

they spiral up towards the surface at dusk...
they do this with less frequency since I added the crosshatch pair...

the good news is I hope to ship these and a Joc to Karen for her breeding project...

Wow that is awesome. I'm thinking mine do the same thing, hopefully I can shoot a quick video when I go home. I would guess that having other fish in the tank with bonded pairs of most fish distract their spawning habbits. Great news that your pair can continue themselves and Karen will have a pair of Jocs now!!

yeah, my pair was very active in their courtship before the 4 jocs, 2 venustus, a crosshatch pair were added...
I totally killed the mood...lol...
