The two dogs is her life support :D. She took time everywhere, i don't think she would mind to have them join her in the Jacuzi

Sang, compare the 2 pics. Top pic is mine.

See how the interior cone on my skimmer has a riser above the cone?

Here's an earlier SM250:

Hmm, this looks familiar. Way to go! Nice skimmer!

However, I'm going to inquire about the riser tube. It seems funny to me that they would change the design months after release. I'm sure it was for microbubble reduction as I can always see some getting out.

Kennettson1 - why change your skimmer if it's skimming so well already? With the extra riser, are you concerened with less contact time?

On a serious note, when are you pulling your sump out. You were suppose to do that after the warriors game, you lied...

Gabe, lol! I wasn't in the mood after the Warriors game, since they gave it away!

Seriously, though, taking out my sump, cleaning it, and replumbing the drain will probably be half day of work, so I need to find some time.

I wonder if they added the extension tube becouse the RD pulls more air on US voltage and they were getting micro bubbles in the out flowing water??? I could be way off though...I think Klause has a power converter to to run US voltage....hmmm

T-Bone- I see what you mean about not having much clearance. Hate to jump on a guy when he is down but I have to agree....that skimmer has been dry for far too long :D . If you would like you can shoot it up to me and I will break it in for you??:)

Chad

i didint know Baron Davis went back home, as we did some work on his range rover few yrs back.

Bart - Sweet! Sounds like your shop caters to the "high-end" clients? U gonna get your own show on MTV, too? ;) He's got a sweet Aston Martin now, and also drives a Prius ;)

Chad - I spoke to Chris (from Proline) late Friday afternoon. He needs to confirm with Klaus the reason for the extension, but his feeling is the same - to reduce microbubbles back into the sump.

Do you feel the riser reduces performance, secondary to reduced contact time?

Picked up some new Toys yesterday :)

Ha! I was right about the microbubbles! Should have gotten an ATB. No microbubbles at all.:p

I love those blue boxes. But the outer cardboard is so flimsy haha.

Call me crazy, but I will *try* to run all Tunzes when they come in, and see how my sandbed likes them.

I actually don't mind microbubbles, cuz my sump's baffled, and there's a long trek before water hits my return pump.

Since I didn't have time yesterday to put in the new skimmer, I decided to see how much stuff the collection cup holds. The BK cup holds about 3 liters, and my Euroreef holds just about 2 liters.

That's a lot of crap!

So, why are you having so many powerheads again? Seven seems ridiculously insane, I don't think i've ever heard or seen anyone with a 180 with that many. Are there a lot of dead spots in your tank with just 4?
