I have 3 right now. The 2 nanos are going to be hidden behind the rockwork to move water around. It's pretty dead back there. So main flow will be the 6201s and 6101, for sure. If the sand can handle anymore, I'll attach the 6060 and 6080 as well. Otherwise, I'll just sell them.

i have 4 nano streams and a votech in my 50g i think t-bone is lacking in flow i suggest a 40hp Mercury saltwater series.

Nice Terry. If you still have my number, just give me a call and I will walk you through the mod, if not, I will try to get that done, but I have been a little preoccupied the last couple of days. If you are using is just to stir things up, you might want to try it like that first and compare it to the 6045. LMK

Mercury sucks. Go with a Honda (4), or better yet, an Evinrude E-Tec. ;)

i had the first 150hp etec in New york state a couple years ago, on my 17 outrage it was super fast then i got the 19 that had a merc on it and i admit the E-Tec ruled. :) it was quiet and really packed a punch.

My buddy's got the 225 E-Tec on his 22' HS Vector. Great mota. I came pretty close to buying a used 2006 21 Contender last season. The wife OK'd it, but I'm glad I decided to wait. My 18' Maritime Skiff and Honda should be nice and cheap given the projected gas prices.

So you've got a 19' Outrage? Nice boat.

Thanks, i have only had it one summer but it is great, Huge step up from the 17 and my first boat with Trim Tabs that i love, we have really choppy water where i live and its 11 miles to my house from town and i carry lots of heavy stuff the tabs help a ton.

My buddy just got a used 23 center console with a brand new 200 honda amazingly quiet engine.

You ever fish out west? my Dad is a Fly fishing guide in New Mexico.

I like the E-tec series, but I am also a fan of the yamaha outboards.

I like Yammies too.

Yep, the next boat must have trim tabs. As long as it's big enough, it'll need trim tabs. :) Everyone I know loves his Outrage. They handle a chop well and are stable in flat conditions. The deeper V's can't typically say that.

Some guys have all the luck. I wish my dad was a fly fishing guide. :( I haven't fished out west, but I was supposed to during my trip to SD, CA. We were supposed to fish for Makos on the fly. But the guide tried to dupe me last minute and take me for a bottom fishing trip, dredging clousers, instead. No thanks.

Right. Gabe that's a Tibor Everglades fly reel. I love those reels.

Not only do i love my Outrage, But It is amazing we get severe 6-8ft chop from multiple directions and it handles them and keeps me very dry there is not a dryer center console on the market.

on my previous center console i had yamaha 200 which start up like a champ even hasn't been started for few months, my friends mercury took forever before it crank up. you know what they say about outboards - getting to fishing ground faster buy a mercury, want to make it home buy a yamaha :D

I have two friends with yamaha 4 stokes, both engines run well, and both of them start up in near freezing temperatures quickly. this mercury 150 optimax i have now is a nice strong engine i have not had any issues with it.

I cant beleive i t-boned Tbones thread with all this Outboard talk.

I think one of the driest CCs has got to be a Regulator. But I don't dispute that the Outrage is an extremely dry boat.

Yeah, I've heard a few negative sayings about Mercury outboards. But I can't say them here. :eek2: The least harmful one is that they make a great anchor for a mooring. ;)
