My new home seems to stay pretty cool in the summer. I've never run a chiller becouse our hot summer days are pretty shortlived but in a pinch I have froze 1 gallon milk jugs and placed them in the sump. Seems to help a bit.

It's OK if the bluespot is ignoring the pvc. I placed it there in hopes that he woud set up camp in the front of the tank. Luckily for me, even though he ignored it, he set up camp in the front anyway

Yesterday, I came home to my bluespot jaw lookin at me. Today, I come home to a crispy carpet surfer...sucks! I had taken off my screen to clean the tank yesterday and forgot to put it back on.

Today is also day #2 without a bariene sighting...

Damm he was a cool fish sorry..I bought a flame angel and hte same night I found him and my flame hawk stuck in the overflow. They made it past my egg crate..It sucks lossing fish especially to our mistakes..

Dang, that sucks. i didnt know BSJ were jumpers?

I really want one the more i see them and it doesnt seem like everyone has one either. They are definitely cool looking!

I'm not sure if they are jumpers, but they certainly dart around very fast, so if he got spooked at night, and darted out, I can see how he could have jumped out.

They are a very cool fish. The blue spots are a nicely colored blue, and they have tons of personality. They actually turn their heads to *look* at you.

I definitely want another one, but I just don't see them very often at the LFS around here.

my tank builder who was supplying my tank, stand, lighting, skimmer, calcium reactor and chiller is going out of business, RIGHT after finishing my tank.

somehow they freakin LOST my ASM G4plus skimmer, MTC procal reactor, and tradewinds chiller. lost it.

This really stinks, but I'm trying to look on the brightside and maybe just get a better skimmer to start with.

My skimmer section is 11x15" and 29" high cabinet space. Would the BK 250 SM fit well in there?


on the brightside, my tank is shipping today and should be here tomorrow.

the company is offering me a "free" ETS800 dual downdraft skimmer because they have an extra one somehow. I'm not so sure about it because it will need to be above my water level, meaning no room for it. I think I'll accept it just as a live rock curing skimmer though

i had a baby female crosshatch back in July for 2 months then of course my system had an ich outbreak. therefore the trigger was scratching against the pvc drain and jump out not knowing where the water line was i guess. saw him on the floor and placed him back in but he lived few days after that. blue jaw fish is very cool looking, but most of the online vendors has them for $79-$89.
