Is it possible to keep 2 pairs of oc clowns in a 48x24x24 120 DT as long as I have 2 anemones for hosting?

Normally multiple pairs are on limited time placed together, as they mature they become territorial and aggressive, regardless of number of nems kept w/ them.
Best results for success in keeping multiple clowns is a group from same clutch and normally intro'd as juvies

If I were going to try it I'd go with occy and skunk instead of two occy pairs. I have a 4ft 60 gallon with two nems on each side of the tank but don't want to risk it. Might just get a domino damsel for my H. Magnifica that's ignored by my pair of true percs happily living in a BTA.

Shure it will work - as long as you put a divider (eggcrate for example) in the tank to keep them from getting to each other. Otherwise it won't last long.

I keep multiple pairs in large tanks before (450/8 foot and 320/6 foot) In a 120 it is likely not going to work. They do better if you have two pairs and they don't see each other. This is hard in a 4 foot tank. On the other hand Ocellaris are docile, You can try 4 juveniles and may end up with 2 pairs. I would not put 2 females, or even 1 female, 2 males and a juvenile in your tank.

I have tried doing multiple clowns.I bought 9 Juvie that was only 4 months old. They lasted about 5 months before they started chasing each other.Came home at lunch and found 6 of the nine on the floor dead.Caught the odd clown and gave it away. The remaining two I still have now and they are 11.5 years old.Me I will never do that again.

Yeah I was just wondering as I always see the team at BRS showing off their clown tank

Those were all from the same clutch, they point this out in one of the vids and stated they basically did the same as Moberts thread, the 27 clowns thread
