Stand Finally Arrives

Stand Finally Arrives

Well the stand and canopy arrived today,
originally it was to be shipped assembled but
the fright company upped the charges from $125.00 to $600.00.
So we did a 180 and broke it down in pcs. and shipped it UPS
I'll post some pics as it goes together and show how I mount
lights and fans in it. Still I'am very impressed with the quality
for there prices. Its from Dayton Aquarium Stands.

Well again something has shown up
at my door step, can not wait to start setting up
this whole project.

Started assembly of stand and canopy.
drilled and mounted fans and light box then took
apart to paint,stain and varnish. finally finished
staining today hopefully finish varnishing by next
weekend. will have better pics of how lights and
fans were installed when I final assemble.

I did not realize how much time I've put into
researching everything before I started ordering
all the components. My goal is to have everything
it the stand cabinet neat and tidy., so come on back
and check it out.
I'm getting close to finally getting it setup!
in theNext 4 to 5 weeks, waiting for my sump from MRC

Well I drove up to Aquatic World in Oconomowoc
today and picked up the tank and Megaflow kits.
Now I need to get my friends over to haul this thing
down into the basement.

today,man that thing is heavy,you don't realize how
big it is till your setting right their starring at it.

Going to run the electric wiring today for
the power panel, two 20 amp circuits.
ordered all the plumbing parts yesterday
should have them next week. If my sump
comes next week I'll finally be able to start
setting this tank up.

are you planning on using the standard hardware for the tunze? You may want to check out my gallery and the thread in the tunze forum too see how to do it on an AGA tank. I bought the wavebox and it was not too much fun getting it hooked up with the brackets. I think I am going to buy the magnents, but i may just by mag floats out of spite for the overpriced tunze that dont come with a decent mounting bracket...

hey at least you thought ahead... I'm waiting for my sand storm to settle right now before I hook it up for the first time, so I think I'm going to order some magnenets...
