New photos for today. Cool ap that turned my blue background black. Kinda wish I had that done when I had my tank built.

You know were not to far away in in Wapakoneta near lima.my tank is LPs and softs mainly with a few sps so not much you'd be interested in lol, but if you join the club in in theirs quite a few guys with sps in your area. The clubs called western Ohio reef club (worc)

Urghh!!!!! Some of my Milliporas are showing fast signs of tissue regression and have no idea what's causing it. looking for thoughts/recomendations. One of those millis have been one of my favorites. I have checked all my parameters and everything looks good. One of the millis (favorite) is to big to remove and is grown to the rock. I removed one of the smaller frags and don't see any predators.

Salinity 1.026 (Milwaukee digital refractomoter)
Phosphate 0 (Hanna checker)
ALK 9DKH, (Salifert)
Mag 1300 (Salifert)
Calcium 440 (sailifert)

See the attached photo.

This one was my favorite. I first thought it was due to shading but now I think something else is causing it (bacteria)

Mine started to do the same thing a few weeks back. All my perameters are correct but I don't have a clue what caused it. Lost 80% of my sps and only 10% of my Lps. Maybe something in the OH water that I can't test for??? I hope you figure it out

I had one STN on the bottom and finally figured out my temp had dropped one degree over 2 nights because I removed my heater and did not add it back to the tank. It was July after all. I added it back and did nothing- the coral is slowly coming back. best of luck to u.

Acrobluz - I do find it interesting a few folks have been having the same problem around here. The water is pretty bad here and definitely need a good RO/DI

Thereefster- Thanks.

Ldagger- Thanks. Glad to hear that your corals are recovering. At least now I know there is some hope for a few of them. Fortunately it has only effected a few pieces.

My new Build my Led strip came in today. I couldn't believe the difference between it and the Reefbrite XHO. It was almost two to three times the brightness and it really brightened up some of the reds. Anyways had to find a way to mount the fixture to my Reefbrite bracket. Here's what I came up with. I ended up using a small power bus and works like a charm and makes it easy to angle the fixture.

Image for today. Right side of the tank. The new light is really starting to help with the colors. I have to say so far I am pretty pleased with the results.

Thanks Wayne, unfortunately it's been a struggle lately. I've been fighting some dianoflagallates and they are how starting to effect my SPS. Seems to attach to any new growth. Hit it with a tooth brush and comes back within hours. Tried lights out for 3 days and it just keeps coming back. I hate to be the ginny pig here, but going to try out the hydrogen peroxide dosing method for 5 days and see how it works out.

I was going to suggest that or if you can separate the frags from the rocks just dip in solution within safeness of the frag/colony.
