27 clowns in the same tank 27 months~Thread of the Month

They also like to put their foot in a crevice or under a ledge and reach up and out towards the light. The current should be above them not directly at the foot.

I am so jealous of your mag, I can never find a healthy one I have tried 4 of them and have even treated with doxycycline with no luck. Do you just have a good source online or local.

Thanks, Mona... Your tank has inspired me to take my new 235g (60X36X25) in a new direction. I already have 5 RBTA's that have split from one clone.

Thanks, here's a couple more:

My gold BTA was looking a little bleached in my stock Biocube 29 so I moved it into this tank:

Hey Neighbor!

Your tank is nothing short of outstanding!

Just curious...what conditions do you think were different in your

biocube that were causing your Gold BTA to bleach?

Were you having the same problem with the RBTA in the 29g?

Larry

Thanks Larry,
I don't know why, but the RBTA is bleached as well. The rose started out very well but after a year it is bleached out and had gotten smaller. I changed the lights on the biocube but that didn't help. The nitrates are lower in the biocube. It doesn't get the continuous water changes (as in few to none) that the 210 does so maybe the water isn't very good even though the nitrates are close to zero. I did wait a year before changing the light and in my experience, BTA's take months to regain color once bleached so it is possible that it could be from old bulbs.

Hey Mona,
Just read through the entire thread. Awesome Tank! I have a small tank now but eventually want two bigger tanks later, an LPS/Softie and...now...a nem/clownfish tank. I think I might get a mated pair of picasso clowns in my biocube, breed them and add the batch to a larger tank. Anyway have subscribed to the thread.
BTW, have you found your gold tipped nem or did I miss that part?

Wow!! Love this whole thread. Knowing how to contain a nem has made me consider one for my tank. Will do some more reading. Thanks :D

i have been crying all day . i have lost 5 clowns in 3 days. an i dont no why. never did see them fighting.i have only 1 now . he was the biggest one.the other was baby do you think he kill them all.

Love all the pictures in this thread! Makes me want just an anemone tank full of clowns.

DTeuton, I'm sorry about your loss, but this isn't the appropriate thread for that. You should post a new thread in the forum listing the details of your tank and the types of clowns and I'm sure we'll be able to help you out from there.
