AGA 210

AGA 210

I have just talked with an aquarium shop 20 miles north in Lakewood called Aquarium Paradise. The have been in business much longer than the in town shop which has been operating for less than a year. Aquarium Paradise has many accounts where they set up and maintain aquariums and I have known them for over two years. I think I may try to go with the AGA 210. I am not sure what kind of AGA stand is a good one?

Dunno---can't help you there. Mine was custom made by Aquarium Showroom in San Jose.

Very cool! My clowns are always together but have not spawned yet had them about 6 months they are full size and were when I bought them. I'm starting to wonder if they were old when I bought them.

Are you thinking they are too old or not old enough? Granted, it is hard to guess the age of a wild caught clown but I understand that they can breed for decades into old age and maybe start as early as a year old. In my experience, lots of good healthy food, moonlighting, and maybe rotiifers/plankton in the water gets clowns in a romantic mood. Mine are a little older to start laying eggs but then, I'm not doing the mondo, tasty, fresh food feeding much. They mostly just get a few fish pellets.

How hard is it to breed clowns?

For the clowns, probably not too hard but for us to raise the young, it is pretty involved. I used to coordinate raising a batch to the school year when I knew I was not going on vacation as the babies needed attention several times a day.

Thank you all for the comments. It is really nice that you like the thread. I just made a batch of fish food, loosely following Eric
Borneman's recipe so the fish and anemones will be better fed. I'm sure they will like it better than just Spectrum Pellets.

Clowns and anemones are still doing great.

I just found this thread...and went through all the pages. Im very very impressed and jealous. Congratulation on such a wonderful tank.

Well done.

Hi Aaron!
I got this clutch from fingerwrinkles locally in Lafayette and he is still raising lots of Percs so no, I won't be raising any of these.

I will however be raising these:

They nice looking Clarkii are also laying eggs and I will be curious to see if the Pearl Eyed mutation is inherited.

hey you have a wonderful tank, and an inspiration to all reefers! What will you do when the eggs hatch? will you do the same and put them in the large tank with the other larger ones?

Hi, Thanks for asking but I won't be raising any of these. Now, if they were something more exotic, then that would be a different story....
