Favorite tank I have ever seen. I breed clowns and am going to give this a try in a 34 I have on a smaller scale.
any update? are you seeing less aggression since you started feeding more?

Yes Please~!
I plan on having somewhat the same setup but instead of percula's, different pairs of all the designer and regular clowns. This has given me validation that it is possible!
Cool. Tnx for the update. How often do you feed them frozen? and do you still run your auto feeders? do you have pellets or flakes or both in the feeder?Yes, it seems that regular flooding the tank with defrosted frozen food (as opposed to just relying on the automatic feeder) makes for more peaceful fish healthier fish.
Wow, I just got finished reading that you can't have more than one pair of clownfish in the same tank (although the guy at the lfs said it was fine!). I have two occellaris, a mated pair, and was wanting to add another pair in a 29 gallon tank. How did you do it?

BTW, I noticed in the pic above that some of the BTA's are pink'ish. are they bleaching or that's their natural color? if they're bleaching, what do you think is the cause?
ThanksWhen I am a good fishkeeper, I feed them frozen every day. When I am negligent, they do not get any for months. The Eheim auto feeder is aways running with New Spectrum Life Pellets, though I do not always check to see if it needs refilling or new batteries.
Yes, the BTA's do sometimes bleach. I think it is from some extreme condition in the water. Probably temperature or Kalk reactor accident. It takes many months for them to recover from bleaching.
Thanks for taking the time to read the thread. What do you think led to the downfall of your H. Mag?
Edit:
Just re-read your post on why you think it died. Sorry. I was interested in trying to add an H. Mag to my BTA tank. Would you do it again?
Also. Did you ever go to LED's?
