I use to rely on luck, but then I found ReefCentral...great to know of a place with sooooo many individuals willing to offer helpful advice.
Aquascaping is going to be a dream with that rock Ed. Any drawings or sketches that resemble what you want your rockwork to look like?

Yeah...Tangwich, I agree RC is the best...   can't imagine what this hobby would be like without this forum...I have learn so much from simply reading all those wonderful build-thread and that's the reason I'm starting my own now so that hopefully you all can advise me when I'm off track and also hopefully others can find this thread useful for their own future build threads

Sorry no visual drawing or sketches on my aquascaping but have it up in my head.. :D My worry is drilling those rocks as I've never drilled them before so this is the 1st time..... :eek2: Ed

like to the finished tank like to see more photos soon!!!!!

Me too....me too.. Aaronovky but one thing about this hobby is patience.... Ed

I think among 8 anthias, there might be more than male. I believe I read it somewhere that usually a male is in charge of 5-6 females at most, but I could be wrong... and it might be species dependent.

And even if there were two males, it wouldn't necessarily mean there'd be a problem, but perhaps a little bit of aggression among two groups or something.

Hi Danskim - beautiful tank you have. I think you are right about the Anthias but I was referring to the green chromis that I have that can't seem to school very long together as I started with 10 and eventually numbers reduce to 2  They seem to fight and the more aggressive one seem to survive while the weaker ones dies off.... even now, with only 2 chromis, they can't be on the same side of the tank at the same time...

Look who's here... :D hehehe NOW the tread should really get exciting if it does not go OT too often.... :p

Thanks for sniffing out this thread.....Ed

Ed, you really need to be careful what you ask for! You may end up splitting before the day is over if I bring over my *crew* LOL

hahahaha..... right !! I'm sure now once you ar eon board, the rest will 'sniff' out this this thread really soon...

Mmm...might need to start a new thread...hahaha...!!

Looks like you got lots of fun toys there which will no doubt lead to lots of cables and then a huge mess, it might be a good idea to figure out your cable management now so when your putting it all in you can organize it all from the beginning. Definitely easier that way.

2 weeks from order to delivery, now that's a quick turn around. Can't wait to see it all coming together.

Thanks thirschmann - yeah, I'm kind of hoping to keep all the toys over to 1 section so it's easier for me to manage the cables....I'm also thinking of making a switch board at one corner of the stand where all the cables goes to.... Ed

ZEOVIT PRODUCTS ARRIVED…!

ZEOVIT PRODUCTS ARRIVED…!

My 6 months supply of Zeovit products have arrived…. I place my ZeoBak, CV and Zeofood in the chiller..

This included the korallen-zucht Aragonit sand (size 2-3mm). To avoid a sand storm from my 2 x Tunze 6201 and wavebox, I decided to use 2-3mm grain size for my SSB. Was debating back and fro on BB and SSB a while back and finally decided to go SSB as I don’t think I have the time to clean the bottom of the BB in order for it to look good… and also I have seen many tanks here with SSB and my personally opinion is it look much more natural… my only concern was a sandstorm and I hope this grain size will help reduce that…

Aragonit01JPG.jpg

Came back from work and soak all my sand in RO water…will change the water daily until the sand is clean and ready for used.

Oh yeah…also a picture of my jam-free Zeovit Reactor… :inlove:

Notice the small and larger holes for the screws….all you have to do is loosen up the screw on top and twist the top to release the cover.

Plumbing Parts Arrived

My plumbing parts have also arrived on same day.

Very happy with the quality of the True Union Ball Valve (Sch 80 â€"œ Sankin brand from Taiwan). Unfortunately here in China, I cannot get those beautiful Ball Valve you guys get over there so this is the best I can do…..

Plumbing03JPG.jpg

The idea I have on the plumbing is to used as many unions as possible so that I can take the plumbing apart every 8-12 months for cleaning, maintenance, etc.

Another reason is due to the nature of my work, I might get relocated to another city/ country every few years and this will enable me to dismantle my set-up easily….. :bum:

Ed

yeah yeah yeah... like your just going to break it apart every few years and rebuild it instead of getting a bigger badder tank... don't bullshit a bullshitter. Nice reactor BTW
