Might and that's why I'm still keeping the lights off. Will keep a close eye and dose my PCS once it's here... :)

PROFILUX CONTROLLER HOOKED UP

PROFILUX CONTROLLER HOOKED UP

18 May, 2008 (Sunday)

Been so busy with work lately in the hotel these past weeks organizing 2 fund raising and blood donations campaigns for the recent devastating killer Cyclone in Myanmar and also the Earthquake tragic here in Sichuan Province so everything else was put ‘on-hold’.

Finally yesterday got some time to hook up my controller.

For those who have been following my build thread, earlier in my thread I mention that I couldn’t get my controller to connect to my laptop…send it back to the distributor in Singapore and they tried it without any problems and was then return back to me. However, I still could not connect and was in the mist of pulling out my hair when it was suggested that I try installation in a brand new computer so I reformat one laptop in the hotel and hold and behold, it works...!! Now that I can get it connected to my newly reformat PC, I cross check the settings with my MacBook Pro window OS and found out the problem was in ‘Language Support’ setting in my Mac Windows OS, which is set for Chinese Language support….once this is removed, it works like a charm

Next I try to calibrate my probes…..with my luck lately, nothing works… I follow the instructions step-by-step but still not reading right. I’m now soaking all my probes in RO water for 24 hours and will try again tomorrow night.

Digital Powerbar:
Next I program the digital powerbar accordingly… I have 2 unit of digital powerbar, which I daisy chain, and it gives me a total of 12 sockets I can program for different function.

Planning to used it as below:
➢Socket 1: Tunze Stream 1 (min during light off)
➢Socket 2: Tunze Stream 2 (min during light off)
➢Socket 3: Tunze Wavebox (min during light off)
➢Socket 4: Skimmer Pump 1 â€"œ Off 30min during feeding time
➢Socket 5: Skimmer Pump 2 â€"œ Off 30min during feeding time
➢Socket 6: Zeo Reactor Pump â€"œ Timer function alternative on/off every 3 hours
➢Socket 7: Calcium Reactor Pump â€"œ Timer function same as when lights on
➢Socket 8: Peri Pump â€"œ Timer function same as when lights on
➢Socket 9: SOL Valve â€"œ PH Value â€"œ shut off when PH value is low
➢Socket 10: ATO Pump â€"œ Level function to activate pump
➢Socket 11: Spare
➢Socket 12: Spare

The 2 spare sockets for future expansion….

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON TUNZE SET-UP FROM GHL USERS OUT THERE??

My other equipments are plug directly into my Powerbox

ATO installed:
I have one float switch level sensor and one optical level sensor…so far; I have not made up my mind how to use those two sensors yet…any suggestions??

I planned to use the float switch level sensor to act as my ATO and might place the optical level sensor on top to avoid flooding or sound an alarm?? OR alternatively place 2 sensor and if both sensor is activated, only will it activate my ATO pump??

Have not test run all functions yet to see if it’s working. Will try to do that once I have all my probes hook up and working…this is my 1st experience in using a controller so I feel like an idiot trying to understand the manual for each connection.

Will start dosing PCS 3-4ml daily in addition to my daily filter socks change and scrubbing so hopefully HA will be history in my tank… will also continue to keep my lights off for another few days to easies the process before switching the lights back on it’s normal sequence….

Also order more Zeovit products to get ready for when I start placing corals in…should come within the next 2-3 weeks…

I really like the theory behind the Zeovit. I would have never known of this until you sparked my curiosity. Looking forward to see and hear of the progress

Thanks Ed.. I seen the progress on your tank. Great job on planning and execution. The plumbing is awesome, the tank and design are far one of the nicest i seen. I look forward on seeing the progress of this set up.

I have several interest on your set up.

1- I hope to copy your set up it one day.
2- I have always interested on Zeovit and would like to see it in action.
3- I hope to copy your set up it one day.
4- interested on the plumbing and sump set up

Ed, how does PCS clear up HA?

It’s a liquid secondary biological facilitator for elements, for example BB & PIF. It can be dosed with every element without causing a problem, also with AAHC or CV for example. It contains a natural kind of Calcium, Magnesium & Carbonate. It has a particle size of 2.5µ so it has the optimal size to get picked up by SPS polyps.

.... It also neutralizes undesirable acids and is helpful with many other problems like cyano or slime algae. In this special kind of problems, it is recommended to mix coralsnow with 1 drop ZeoBac / 100 liters / 25 gallons dosing this mixture every other day until the problem has gone.

PCS is not a coral food in the usual sense but more of a transporter or carrier of elements, AA's, etc. within our water composition, easing their absorption[incorporation]by our corals.

here is the thread i found on Zeo site

FOUND A STRAY… ZzzzZZzzZ

FOUND A STRAY… ZzzzZZzzZ

BAD NEWS GUYS…..!!

Last night I found stray electricity in my tank…. :sad2: I ground all my wires so can’t imagine why?? Could be a leak pump or something?? Now have to unplug everything and try to find out which equipment is leaking?? :worried2:

Lucky me I got an Engineering department so got my guys over to run through every plug point/ equipments… wish me luck !! :o

Will hold back on the rest of the equipments installation until this leak is found. :hmm4:

that's a bad news mate, hope you can find out where the leaks are and we can continue see your tank progress.

Sorry to hear about the set back and with all your equipment it might take a minute to find which is causing it. Good luck.

omg that sucks, but at least you caught this in time before more livestocks were added. they will figure this out in no time with all the top engineers you have over there. it might be coming from your controllers.
