PROFILUX CONTROLLER HOOKED UP
PROFILUX CONTROLLER HOOKED UP
18 May, 2008 (Sunday)
Been so busy with work lately in the hotel these past weeks organizing 2 fund raising and blood donations campaigns for the recent devastating killer Cyclone in Myanmar and also the Earthquake tragic here in Sichuan Province so everything else was put ‘on-hold’.
Finally yesterday got some time to hook up my controller.
For those who have been following my build thread, earlier in my thread I mention that I couldn’t get my controller to connect to my laptop…send it back to the distributor in Singapore and they tried it without any problems and was then return back to me. However, I still could not connect and was in the mist of pulling out my hair when it was suggested that I try installation in a brand new computer so I reformat one laptop in the hotel and hold and behold, it works...!! Now that I can get it connected to my newly reformat PC, I cross check the settings with my MacBook Pro window OS and found out the problem was in ‘Language Support’ setting in my Mac Windows OS, which is set for Chinese Language support….once this is removed, it works like a charm
Next I try to calibrate my probes…..with my luck lately, nothing works…

I follow the instructions step-by-step but still not reading right. I’m now soaking all my probes in RO water for 24 hours and will try again tomorrow night.
Digital Powerbar:
Next I program the digital powerbar accordingly… I have 2 unit of digital powerbar, which I daisy chain, and it gives me a total of 12 sockets I can program for different function.
Planning to used it as below:
➢Socket 1: Tunze Stream 1 (min during light off)
➢Socket 2: Tunze Stream 2 (min during light off)
➢Socket 3: Tunze Wavebox (min during light off)
➢Socket 4: Skimmer Pump 1 â€"œ Off 30min during feeding time
➢Socket 5: Skimmer Pump 2 â€"œ Off 30min during feeding time
➢Socket 6: Zeo Reactor Pump â€"œ Timer function alternative on/off every 3 hours
➢Socket 7: Calcium Reactor Pump â€"œ Timer function same as when lights on
➢Socket 8: Peri Pump â€"œ Timer function same as when lights on
➢Socket 9: SOL Valve â€"œ PH Value â€"œ shut off when PH value is low
➢Socket 10: ATO Pump â€"œ Level function to activate pump
➢Socket 11: Spare
➢Socket 12: Spare
The 2 spare sockets for future expansion….
ANY SUGGESTIONS ON TUNZE SET-UP FROM GHL USERS OUT THERE??
My other equipments are plug directly into my Powerbox
ATO installed:
I have one float switch level sensor and one optical level sensor…so far; I have not made up my mind how to use those two sensors yet…any suggestions??
I planned to use the float switch level sensor to act as my ATO and might place the optical level sensor on top to avoid flooding or sound an alarm?? OR alternatively place 2 sensor and if both sensor is activated, only will it activate my ATO pump??
Have not test run all functions yet to see if it’s working. Will try to do that once I have all my probes hook up and working…this is my 1st experience in using a controller so I feel like an idiot trying to understand the manual for each connection.
