WATER CHANGE

WATER CHANGE

1 June, 2008 (Sunday)

Did my first 10% WC and will start moving some of my fishes in there slowly to see how they cope…

THE PLAN
In another 2 days my Zeovit is due for it’s 1st exchange so the plan is to replace 90% of my Zeovit. Then the following week, I will place some ‘test’ LPS & SPS corals to see how they do … :D ☺ Hopefully I can get my PO4 under control by then… :p

Just to get some life in there, today after WC, I move my 3 clams and 1 yellow feather duster into their new home…

I’m still trying to trap my fishes… float my betta box in my tank but they are too smart and not playing along …will try to lure them in later today….

Thanks Sandy....looking forward to your build thread

Cheers....

Me too!
I'm learning ALOT from your thread, I especially like the light railing system you have.

I really didn't get you adding the raw shrimp into the tank, could you please explain that to me.

OOh that is to give my cycle a kick start as I used only half the live rocks (LR) required and the rest is dead rocks.... If you used all LR, this process is not necessary.
:D

Cheers...

diatoms are only on the acrylic not the rocks, i need more snails, also i have been out of town in NY for the last 8 days and i just started PCS dosing today.

GOTTA YA!

GOTTA YA!

Hand feed him and slowly lead him to the opening of the betta box….not too difficult to trap as he is always so greedy during feeding time... :p

Enjoy your new home...!! Next on the list will be my piggy Tangs or Chromis... :D

Stay tune for more updates….

Didn't start a build thread for my current tank....let me see if I can dig out some pictures of my current tank. Present condition in tank is a little neglected (embarrass to say) as I'm using it more like a holding tank for my new tank...waiting to transfer them LS over.... :D

Wish I can get corals like you guys get in HK...anyway to ship them into Fuzhou for me?? :p

i love this thread, looks like you have spared no expense.

Thanks FUA - glad you enjoy the thread as much as I have....

He's been a darling so far..... :) Been in my current tank for about a year and haven't lost any clean-up crew yet.

I think he is one of the most timid Trigger amongst the trigger family...

Yeah, HK have lots of goodies unfortunately i'm not able to help because i'm living in Australia at the moment and i start reef keeping 2 years ago in Oz. but i was born in HK thou.

back to 10 yrs ago, i only have FW experience because at that time keeping a SW tank is pretty much close to impossible and extremely expensive.

There are couple forum in HK for many good SW reefers hanging around, if you are interested to have a look, i can shot you a PM for the links
;)

Cheers,
Adrian
