29g setup

No it didn't asphyxiate. I had a ph in there :) and it happened overnight. I think the ph was to strong for the gallon or two of water. I should have left it in the rubbermaid.

I think this fish would've given hell to anything I added after it. Was fine w/my current ones. Just didn't play nice w/my shrimps.

Bahh! I killed another fish :( Caught my arabian to take him out and he was stuck to the powerhead intake the next morning. I put him in a 5g bucket w/a small peice of lr. I think the ph was to strong for him. I only had about a gal or 2 of water in it. Poor fishy :(

ph=power head

Nope just my crazy abbreviations  I'll try to type out most things. I can see where ph could be a typo b/c it could be talking about how acidic or alkaline the water is, or a power head :)

Well I haven't seen my yasha since my Christmas vacation. I think my emerald may have eaten him?? I've just now read they can opportunistic feeders...darn it. As soon as I can catch him he's going back to the lfs.

Here's info on him. This is a Q&A session about crabs. On the top left you'll see a box that says highlight. If you type emerald in that box and hit highlight it will highlight all "emerald" in yellow. Makes those topics a lot easier to find.

They can also prey on corals :( He's going away...fast.

I have just uploaded photos of my mp10. Sorry, my tank is a bit dirty :o

Here's a photo of my filty heater and old powerhead. Can't believe how encrusted it was. I'll be sure to keep on top of that now.

Did a vinegar soak and it all came right off :)

Ah an ice storm possible tonight into tomorrow. I hope we don't end up losing power.

Nope the vinegar didn't make it icky looking. Coraline didn't change color, just flaked right off.

I'm excited. Bluezoo has free shipping on $100 orders until tonight. I went ahead and put in an order w/a friend.

I'm getting:

Red firefish---for my hubby
Yellow Rose Goby- stonogobiops nematodes; hoping it will pair w/my pistol shrimp since my yasha's died
10 cerith snails
1 turbo snail; turbo fluctosa
Red Tile Starfish Fromia monilis

I know the star is a gamble, but decided to try it. If anyone can give me tips on it I'd appreciate it. I've read that this species feeds on algea film and also that it eats organisms too so I'm a bit baffled by it.

some new stuff
Here are my two SPS that I bought :) I think they're doing ok..lol. They don't do much, just sit there.

I don't know. I've read they eat little critters and I've read they eat algea. No one has given me a straight answer except for Cherubfishpair.
