Sorry about the crappy pictures. Was just trying to get some quick. Am leaving my tank lights turned off today due to new fish arrival and was trying to get the tank back in order quickly after adding the coral.

The corals are all open now.

Here are some links to some questions I asked.

Assuming these are bristleworms?? Confirmation, please :)

It's an SPS coral of some kind. Post this pic in the SPS identification forum and you might get an id.

Umm, that's a frag of green star polyps.

ya. It's green star polyps. I was thinking sps at first also.

From the pictures when they are open:

#1 armor of god
#2 sea foam paly
#3 cat eyes
#4 alpha omega
#5 gsp
#6 watermelon

Some pictures.

Some new rock. Only 3 lbs.

We'll see if I can get action shots in the tank after a day or 2. I'm going to leave the lights off for today.

That's all I'm planning on adding for awhile. Maybe a yellow assessor if I can find one when I'm ready to spend the $$. That will be all for fish. We'll see about inverts.

Yes that's correct :) They live and spawn on/around it in nature, I guess.

I research all fish pretty extensively before I get them. Prevents a lot of bad crap, I hope...lol. Well I try anyway. Gets kinda hard when there's conflicting information.

They are both still alive today! YAY! I'm going to feed tonight and see if the clown will eat.

The shrimp molted already...
part of the molt. Other is behind a rock and I can't get a good shot of it.

Can kinda see the shrimp hiding back there.

little clown goby hiding in dead SPS skeleton.

Just a note and it's something that I've never thought of. My sg is down to 1.021. The only thing I can think of is all the acclimating I've done in the last 6 days. When I took water out for acclimation(drip method) it was being topped off by RO w/my ato unit. I never thought about that until I checked my sg. It seemed like such a small amount of water. Now I'm manually topping off with salt water.

My glass is still a bit water spotted from doing some work in the tank earlier  my bad. Somehow I do something and then think hey that would be a great shot or video and then later I'm thinking crap I shoulda cleaned the glass...lol.

This is super annoying  The snail rattles against the glass.

Just a few pictures. Some of the corals have grown a noticable amount...to me anyway. Notably the Armor of God (larger disk, taller), cat eye larger disk.

FTS the left rock fell over and I have to move it. The watermelons are on the sand again. Still open and everything, though... The tank has more of a yellow look since putting the 10k's on. I don't like it but the 10k's are needed for my zoa's and paly. I prefer more of a blue cast.

Cool sponge that has been on the rocks. I've been waiting for it to die. No detectable ammonia in the tank yet. Looks like it might be dieing in the middle of it, though.

100_7123.jpg

And these white wormy things growing all over the place. Notably on the sps skeleton in the back right of the tank as well as some on the glass. I haven't really researched them yet. What are they?

100_7134.jpg

Back to lighting. I'm going around and around to what I really want. I have been thinking perhaps a 175w SE halide of some sort, but have also been drawn to a 4 bulb T5 set up. I also prefer a light that I can leave in place when I do work on the tank. The 150w DE metal halide clip onlights I could just slide over and work where ever in the tank and still have the tank illuminated. I'd like to keep a crocea clam in there eventually. I will need the lighting for it...now what to choose....

Well I've had some issues. My clowns came down with something as well as my yellow goby fading to almost white.

My poor clown resting on the bottom before it died

White clown goby. Thought for sure he was going to die, but he's still around.

I bought a new camera yesterday so have much better pics of my clown. My lil male seems to be doing quite well. He had white junk on both side fins and you can clearly see that one is all cleared up.
