3 tank,2600 gal. system room build

DSCN16011.jpg

another 200. i missed a bunch but you can see i do cram em in. had these for 20 years.

one other note I like the tank room drawing discustopia drew up. I think that makes alot of sense for the reef tank as you can rely on Tunze's or the vortec pumps for all your water movement, what was your reaction to his post?

Hopefully you washed those before you did that.

No need. My wife refused to wear them. :(

I've got to ask, with all those tanks, how is the humidity in your house? Mold would be a huge concern for me.

Perhaps Jnarowe's "mask" may help if you need to fumigate.

I tell ya...you could be serving up some sweet Chinese food there too eh?

Funny (to me) to see all the tanks installed over parque floors. You are a mad-man! Sure wish ou could visit before I take down my system. It would give you a heart-attack. I think I will post a video on my thread.

might get a chance to view a seavisions system. yaa hoo. that and an rk2-50pe skimmer would be a nice start on the equmpiment list.

Even if you add up what i have in my house you would be amazed. Hey when are you going to look at that seavisions unit.

Holly Moly..another addict..Looking forward to see how this comes out. my 2 cents is I agree that the 2 tanks along each other is not that aesthetic pleasing. If you can do the L or something that would be cool. I guess I am glad my wife isn't as hooked as me or I would be doing something similar a huge reef and nice size F/O...hahahaha you should change your name to water change guy...hehheheh

we seem to be set on 2 tanks 130x40x36high with internal overflow on 40'' end. next question, how many drains and returns and what size? Time to order tanks, and need input.

all depends on if you will gravity feed your skimmers, etc. I would use 2 x 2" plus 1 x 1.5" for a skimmer. and removable overflow combs.
