435 in wall DT up and running again

I totally agree with Rik. Lawrence, you like a lot of fish that are not reef safe. I'd suggest you get the fish you want and add coral that they may not eat. If they do put the coral in the reef tank, cube. You have enough room where the cube is for a larger tank too.
I would change things a little more. Put the cube or reef tank on the other side of fish tank so I could see both tanks while watching TV or in the kitchen. If your not into watching tv so much you could put the reef tank in living room, closer to front door. Try not to worry what the wife says too much. I do think with some planning you could find a happy medium.

I will still have large angel in the main tank
My list,
Scribble
Emperor
Flag fin
Goldflake waiting for a nice one.
Hopefully I can find a healthy Sudanese regal again

As far as tangs I still debating between
Maculiceps
Purple tang
Achilles
White tail if I can find one

No black
No gem
No fowleri

The carpet will be on a separated system by themselves with a pair of frozen snowflake extreme and a pair of true percula with macro algae.

I want to limit my fish to 15 or less including tiny fish.

Looks like the carpet nems will be re-housed in new tank based on first sentence and second to last paragraph.

I still want a folwr tank but not till later on, I need to concentrate on what I have now because this will be a very long process and time consuming, to qt and going fallow. The cleaner wrasse is still in the main tank and its not going hungry since the sucker is very resourceful so I can't start counting the 2 months till I catch it. All of the other fish are disease free and doing great at the moment but they are cramp in the 140 gallon cube and soon they will be in a 100 gallon bin with 40 gallon breeder sump.

Any one have a grouper, lionfish or angler that I can borrow to catch my 3 years old cleaner?

Lawrence, If you are serous about catching the cleaner. Set up a small tank with a very secure lid. Go to the liquor store and buy a 6 pack of Mickey's Big Mouth Malt Liquor. Empty 1 of the Mickey Big Mouth barrel bottles using any technique you like, consumption is highly recommended.

Now place the bottle in the small tank and add an octopus of your choice. Pacific, Atlantic, Ringed --- Any type of any size. It should quickly make the empty beer bottle it's home.

Feed it ever 2 to 3 days in the little tank.

Now move the beer bottle (with octopus inside) into your big tank.

Cover the big tank securely. The octopus will go hunting and remove any lost crabs or fish in the tank.

When the wrasse is gone, pull the beer bottle with the octopus in it's glass home.

And I know Lawrence, you will have no problem finding a new home for your wrasse cleaner wrasse eating octopod.

thats the best idea so far...thanks dave
only problem is how can cover the main tank since net screen is not heavy enough.

Use the plastic wrap that they use for wrapping up pallets for shipping. It's available at Costco. Or if you were nice to someone who lives in Encino who has a roll of it you could borrow from him!

Just seal off the top of the tank for a week to keep the Octopus in.

I personally would go buy like 9 or 10 45 gallon Brute barrels from Home Depot. Empty the tank into the barrels to like a couple of inches of water. Catch the wrasse and fill the tank back up. Then return the barrels to HD. Fast...easy...basically free.

Oh and they sell 45 gallon liners for the barrels too so the barrels don't even have to get wet.

I think Wayne's idea is the best one. I have done it in my tank multiple times (even though my tank is only 150 gallons). Just drain it and catch the sucker.

Caught the cleaner wrasse using my method :)
Found the cave its sleep in but it escape but daze for 3-5 minutes. now I need to set up my qt tank :)

I want to make a few changes in the tank hopefully for the best
number 1 priority is to cut down on my fish even more, add more detox blox for the cryptic zone, add extra skimmer and add refugium
the most painful task for this changes is to decided what fish to keep

so far i narrow it down to
Moorish idol
sudanese Regal angel
Emperor angel
Pair of true percula still in the fence
Pair of extreme snowflake clown
aussie Harlequin tusk
3 Cleaner wrasse
Scribble angel
Quoyi parrotfish
Yellow tilefish
purple tilefish
Flagfin angel
aussie male Pictilis Anthias
no more tangs unless I get rid of my emperor angel

For your size tank, I would think your fine. Now in the past, you did go a little overboard with fish.
Did you want to try that air pump for your skimmer?

its been super stressful now that's school is almost done and the kids activities are non stop but tomorrow I to do something for the tank..
first set up the QT tanks then let it run for few days then transfer all the fish over hopefully without a hiccups. Then add the 100 gallon refugium and add 45 lbs more of detox blox on the sump, so my brown out tank (most of the colonies are bought brown after the anemone incident) can color up and also remove ick permanently out of the tank.

sorry for the clarity ... youtube blurred it out
