Try kalk paste on the turf algae. Shut off the flow, like you would with the peroxide and cover the algae in the paste. Let it burn the algae away, just keep it clear of your precious animals. Draw up the leftover paste with a baster after a few minutes.

Hmmm... I'll give that a shot. I got an ORP probe and the H2O2 plays havoc on the ORP for about an hour after treatment. Though most of the corals seem to not be bothered by theH2O2, I dod lose most of a blue digitada inexplicably and I suspect the H2O2


I'll give kalk paste a shot but I'm down to my last 50 pounds of the stuff.

I picked up 5 of them on Saturday and a gold flake angle. Shout out to SCMAS and the awsom field trips.

I picked through looking for females but either the wholesaler mostly had males or it's not quite as easy as your photo. I've only seen one since and it was at the edge of a gruff of turf alage munching away.

I see my Emerald all day long but I have small fish.

Needs paint now and new baseboards.

How does it feel? Mixed. At the moment just fine. I've dealt with a lot of great people and my share of flakes and #%>£* in selling it and the break is good. I do miss it, as I've done this for many years and the tank is really a piece of our family history and we have fond memories, but I'm doing fine without it. The Dodgers winning helps :) What I miss is being able to go over to it and just focus on a piece of sps for a stretch of time and just take in the colors.

Ok.... a few steps closer to switching to 400W halides. I’ll be ordering my materials for my new roof mounted solar array and 200A service panel within a week.

I got my stamped plans back from building yesterday and my wholesaler is doing takeoffs today.

So... picked up a school of 5 yellow tangs from RAP. + the 12" vlamingi, 7" clown tang and the 4" Scopas.

The Scopas and Clown went after the yellows real hard for about 4 days, even with a mirror placed where the yellows were hanging out but id did confuse the 2 of them a bit and made it look like 10 yellows instead of 5. the yellows would help each other out and finally it seems the scopas and clown are giving it a rest. Still little scuffles here and there but it's really settled down. The yellows have all taken a lot of fin nips but they are now grazing my algae and relaxing some. I'll shoot some more photos with the halides on later
