Mark if u want to color up run longer blue than white. I run 4hr blue 4 hrs white and 4 hrs blue total of 12hrs per day.

I gave up. I broke it off and gave it to Tim see what he could do with it. The encrusting base is now about the size of a silver dollar, wee’ll see hat happens from here.

The yellows are doing great, almost no squabbling at all anymore. Clown tang and Scopas seem to have gotten over it. All the tattered fins have healed and it’s like they all gang up on me to try to get me to feed them constantly. I call them my “hungry hungry hippos” and have purchased a 1 gallon bucket of pellets for them. I’ve started NoPox and nitrates are holding at 12PPM, PO4 at 0.03


Even the anthies is thriving, which is surprising given how randomly I feed but he must have found a cache of copepods to munch on between feedings.

I need to put shades on the High vaulted windows that are flooding the tank with sunlight.

I took some TDS shots with a camera box I got fo Christmas. Some are under 2X 60" ATI blue plus + Euroquatics 60" E5X "œblue Pop" direct T5 replacements. Some have those lights and 3 X Radiums. I was playing about and the otters are 250W the center is 400W

See if you can spot the difference. All the TDS photos used a yellow lens

In all honesty, and the photos don't really capture it, I mostly prefer halides though there are a few things that really look their best under LED

Full tank shot, all the tangs begging for food

Nana coral, blueberry fields?, a something SPS, red planet and my wife's clam

Purple stylo, green something, Steve Carroll blue ridge coral, Miami hurricane? And at the bottom, a small frame of pink setosa dodger blue gave me years ago.

Mostly hawkins echinata but there's also my 2 red planets, some nana a pink furry from Scott.

It's actually coloring up better and better since those photos

today I switched out the halides from 250 radiums to 400W radiums for the winter. Let's see what happens with anther 450 watts of light

I have noticed a massive amount of bristleworms in my tank. Pick up any rock or large plugs or LPS and the sand underneath is teeming with them. Wonder if I should get an arrow crab to keep them in check?

Just remove the large ones you can reach

Arrow crabs are more fun to watch as they stab bristle worms and then rip them apart.

I got nailed by a large bristleworm on Friday It was gnarly, rows and rows of bristles in my fingers. for some reason, I though that dousing my fingers in vinegar would help and I have no ill effects

There is one coral in there, a frag you gave me a few years back that you didn't know it's name but it had potential. Well, it's a full colony now and it's awesome! I'll have to snap a photo this weekend.

I remember the coral and it didn't have a name. Either it was from Dave Botwin or from Adam. At one point it had that color for me under t5 but it was touchy for me and would go in and out of color. Beautiful piece for you
