How do you like the new Octo skimmer so far? Does it have that milky color of bubbles.

actually I have been trying to use it fed off the right drain and the only way to get enough pressure out of it is to close off the 2" pipe and run all the pressure to the 1" inlet and its pretty hard to get constant flow. I think I am about to just try another pump :(

that clown looks happy...tank looks great, one suggestion if i may, not that you have not done everything perfectly, but you took all that time for your back ground which i plan on doing, why not paint the or get black pvc for the tubing that shows in the tank...sorry if that sounds out of line...great job on it all. are you going to at my LR? just wondering awesome i am following this one!

No offense taken! I am looking for all the advice I can get. I have some line loc but I not sure how to get it from 1 1.5" into two .75 inch outlets. Should I just skip the line loc or is there something cool I can get from the internet? and where can you get black PVC?

It is a very nice tank. I was wondering would all the pump will have too much noise? Can you still watch TV there?

yeah those darts are stupid quiet! The iwaki's on my 400 are way louder.

In no time that tank should be covered with coralline algae and no one will remember what color pvc was used... Nice going any new pics =)

for some reason i did not get subsribed to this thread...black PVC can be found at home depot or Lows, other then lock line, you can use an Ocean Motions outlet. I am going from 1-1/4 to 1 then to 3/4 lock line you just use some slips and stuff i do not know the proper terms, but if this link works you can check it out, there are like 25 bucks but a small price considering that HUGE TANK.

the first part on top is what you would screw into a slip you can get a home depot but i was not suggesting all that. I think you would like the Ocean Motion product. Nice work on it all again though

This tank is soooo awesome!

When I started my 120, I ran a large PH (mag 9) into a sock filter right in the tank it helped tremendously to clear the water.
