Hey Reefers,

I brought you the 72 gallon Oceanic bowfront evolution and it was a success and continues to evolve.

Now I bring you the 6 gallon Tru Vu and hope to make it just as successful as it's big brother.

Among mystery nanos this tank has been eluding many reefers on several boards; and I hope to bring the missing link back on the charts of nano evolution.

Enjoy what is yet to become a fantastic nano tank..

I added my 50 watt heater, all black to match tank... I also placed in the coralife digital temp display... To power up this little toy, I went with the simple yet efficient Coralife digital power strip.

Then I added 10 lbs of live sand followed by 10 lbs of Bali Live Rock...

I toyed around with the pieces and finally got this, hope you guys and gals like it...

Nice looking tank, and it looks like you have got all the goodies you need :)

Now let's have some water in that thing! Suspence sucks! :D

I'm wondering how fast the temperature goes up in that tank when the halides go on.....? 150watt for 6 gallons.... my guess is it will hit 90 degrees within a couple hours. Anybody else thinking about that?

Keith,

150 watts of HQI will cook any small tank and mine is no exception... Only thing you forgot, it's Mike Guerrero creating this tank...

Have you seen my award winning Pico on nanotank or my two gorgeous 12 gallon JBJ cubes I created?

I also have my 72 gallon Oceanic reef tank that I created from ground zero; documented everything much like you see this one beginning.

In other words I'm far from a beginner yet I don't consider myself an expert; just an avid reefer that loves reefing and especially nano tanks.

Keith, I have on order the newest breakthrough in nano chilling; yes breakthrough because it's not out on the market yet.

I researched all over the net trying to find the strongest chiller that will fit in this little guy and I almost went with the ice-probe by cool works but was told they deviate a lot, sometimes as much as 6 degrees.

Nuff said,

Mike G

i support mike in his decision... i have a 150 HQI over a 5.5 gallon... never goes above 83 and that is only if i forget to turn the AC on.... with the AC on always stays around 79-81...

Take it easy there Mike.

IsThisNameTaken,

I mentioned that statement because it's my reputation as a reefer and now that I think about it I should've placed a smiley face after that statement as I didn't mean for it to come off like you read it.

Keith only has 2 post and I didn't see that, so had I seen that I would've not stated my experience.

Anyway, lets keep my thread a happy one; more pics to come, my skimmer is working awesome and I can't wait to share those pics.

I really recommend the Berlin Airlift 60, just that you need a strong airpump and the Coralife luft pump does the trick.
