Tank is still going thru the diatom outbreak......the clean up crew seems to be staying with it....

Got a new fish today from a LFS here in Atlanta!!!

This is the first Powder Blue I have tried, I am hoping for the best!!!

how much would your friend charge to make a skimmer like that one and can it be done with out the silencer like or similar to the volcano skimmers

He is out of the business. Sorry FWIW, I made the silencer, plumbing, etc..... he just built the skimmer body.

Looks great, I wish I would have seen your stand before I built mine. I would have made the stand like yours and then I would have had a catwalk around the tank. It can be a real pain to try and place new frags in the front of the tank.

It is a pain even with the catwalk!!! How tall did you build your stand? Mine is 48" , I have to keep a 6' ladder in my fish room.

How are all the tangs getting along?

That PBT is a healthy looking species.

Is the Orange Shoulder some type of hybrid? I don't think I've seen them with the white patches on the face before.

Getting along fine so far. The Powder Blue was a little rough on the two new guys the first night but the next day they were all swimming around together.

The Orange shoulder is not a hybrid or anything, the white spots were just him being stressed. I took the pics right after I introduced the fish into the tank. His colors are not great right now,since he is in the process of changing color to the adult form.

Couple questions for those checking out this thread,

I am looking at getting two magnets for cleaning the tank, and have been looking hard at the Might Magnets website(http://mightymagnets.com/). Are these the best value? Im looking at spending $500 for two magnets and accessories, and want to make sure I am getting a good product. Are there other options that are just as good but cheaper?

Also for you Tang guys, I have an opportunity to buy an Achilles tang from a guy and was wondering if this would be the wrong time to add one? I would like to add the tangs in an order that would keep aggression down. For those that own one are they aggressive? He said his has been bullying his Regal Tang for sometime in his 150.

dude, you and your tank rock. I hope you dont have a leak! If you do - whats your back up plan. I recommend buying a big kiddie pool and somehow placing it under your fish tank. That way your safe.

Ummm ok. Well, I dont have much of a backup plan other then hoping that never happens. I do have a 150 gallon rubbermaid and a full QT system that I could transfer livestock into.
